JrMistMaker not yet. Way to many variables from last year and rain, etc. gotta wait till NJMP to get a better idea.

What should be the price, for an entire undertray like yours?

hello, hope you dont take this wrong, but you dont keep a good record of tyre usage , from wear to heat cycle and as your friend said, ages aswell, fresh rubber being slick or street tyre is a must, for saffety and also for consistant to notice changes on suspension each slick or semi slick tyre has around 10 heat cycles before losing grip ( even if they arent too wear, you loose how the rubber behave, thats the unsprung mass of the load of the car) another thing, when you buy them new, the first cycle must be tu "bed in the tyre" trying to give a warm up laps and letting cool it is the best way, not to overheat the tyre and not to overwear on the outside, there are shops who bed them in from some bucks in the us hope to see you imrpove racing and take care!

Not taking it wrong at all since you are pretty much correct in a perfect world. But when real life hits and as a one man team don't have the time, or budget to do things to that level and buy new tires every weekend, you gotta make do. I've ran the Toyo RR's to over 30 heat cycles on several sets without issue, but the combo of the increased downforce, tire age, and punishment of Lime Rocks layout, it was to much. The tread on the failed tire looked good, but totally missed how old of a tire it was.

@@ajhartmanaero thank you for not taking it wrong, i am also a one man team and here where i live we dont have many resourses like in the US ( the machine for bed it tyres doesnt exist in my country) they dont sell slicks, only semi slicks with 80 treadwear and 180 treadwear ( the toyos you run they arent on the free market, need to import them) so i am not telling you to run new tyres every weekend, but to manage a new set on the season you are running (2020 rubber for example) and leave all the other oldones for testing/develping the car and even qualy. Also another thing it is that you need more practice/testing before and event, can you rent your local race track? here it cost around 30 dollars 1 hour and you need to be in one of the assosiations of the race track and to be a member you pay montly ( around 20 more) it is very important to have seat time with the amount of changes you like to do and have more confidence in your driving and car. Thank you very much for all the effort of recording and teaching to all of us ( you confirm alot of my theories) PS:i would like to talk to you much more, but i am not much of a youtuber

Why do you continue to stick with toyo's vs getting hoho's?

Chris Davis primarily money. I had to run Toyos in Ai so just burning through them before getting Hoosiers.
