What are you talking about? Miracle builds are definitely viable. I made it a point to run through the game with every type if character and my favorites were the pure castors. Miracle only, Spell only, and Pyromancy only are not only viable, but pretty busted in some cases.

Not that useless when you're doing a shield run or using a shield in main hand for utility. For certain shield it takes more time to begin charging with the R2 for heavier shields than with lighter shields, which can make the difference between pushing some fool off a cliff and having them dodge out of the way. Also a big difference with getting The Bed Of Chaos's branches out of your way, and you being incinerated. Also this data can be used while picking shields for pve. It's important to know that all shields seem to have a small frame where they simultaneously block attacks while attacking (haven't tried great shields yet for this.) This means lighter shields can attack and defend you from pve enemies with faster attacks, despite their lower AR. I can't say this is true for Two or Three, just for One.

DS2 shields also had the ability to block when you attacked. I used to do PvP with the Sanctum shield and nobody could ever figure out what to do against spamming R1 (it would often block the attack AND hit them), man that was a fun time

Rose Of Ariandel GG, you now have the access to 1-shotting anyone in the arena/white phantoms, recommended miracles: Sunlight Spear, Lightning Storm/Stake (Storm is more damage, but costs more spell slots, I use Stake personally for better stat management, but they both roll catch like beasts.) and projected heal, projected heal is for when you cast Rose of Ariandel since it drains some HP, but it's immediately healed after casting projected heal at your feet I *HEAVILY* recommend the Canvas Talisman for the poise casting, and damage, but the Saint's Talisman will guarantee more 1-shots due to damage output, but has a worse Weapon Art for poising through hits, you can also go 60 FTH to make up for the Canvas Talisman's lesser spell buff here, and it'll work wonders. You're welcome, and happy 1-shots with Sunlight Spear, make anyone who dares trade with you instantly die. Also don't forget, infuse your Lothric War Banner with Lighting, it'll make it chip damage shields, and actually do damage. (pro tip you can remove the Rose Of Ariandel from your hand and keep the effect, you can't do that with the Lothric War Banner, so it's better to use the war banner like a weapon in this case with your Talisman on your off-hand. It should also go without saying but actually use the Weapon arts on the Lothric War banner, and the Rose Of Ariandel. That's where your damage comes from. No RTSR necessary. The 2 other rings you choose are up to you, but if you want to pad out some defenses, Ring Of Life+3 or favor and protection+3 help a lot.)

Not trying to poke holes on your build or miracle builds in general, I have a blast playing them both on PVE and arena PVP; But, when playing PVP in the arena, if you start buffing too much (especially weapon arts with lengthy animations like Rose and War Banner), people just tend to rush at you to attack, and I don't even blame them lol Most people are polite the first time you fight them, but once they get one-shotted, they'll just rush at you on rematches. I get that the damage buff is just a nice plus, but 80% of the time you won't be one-shotting people because you won't be able to get both your buffs off.

And 80% of the time I'm literally one-shotting nerds who try to trade with a sunlight spear. I hate to burst *your* bubble, but what game are you playing? In the events it doesn't one shot, it'll 2-shot, and trading twice, or even 1 trade with a roll catch will end the fight. Miracle builds are good, people are just bad. That and on top of the fact that it doesn't even NEED to 1-shot to be good, seriously the game gives you enough tools (roll catching with storm/stake) long range attacks (sunlight spear) among other annoying tools like Lightning Bow, what more do you need?

And since your reality, and mine directly clash, it seems like I'm being defensive. However I'll be taking my side of the argument here since I played first hand with mine the way I did and didn't have many issues, however you played with yours how you did, and you found issues. I'm willing to wager you didn't make the build right, or you can't perform up to par of what someone who PVPs does usually, and I mean that in the nicest, non "u suck at video game lol" way possible, it's entirely up for debate if you genuinely messed the build up, or you're just bad at PVP. Either or I can safely say I haven't had an issue at all, and I assume people who copy by build 1:1 for invasions, duels, or Arena should find the same success as I did, as long as they are just as apt players as I am. Same applies to anyone who uses an INT build, or hex build. It's not like you have to work any harder using my Miracle build, and in fact I suggest you don't even need to try at all lmao, just trade a Sunlight spear when you can, and abuse the roll catch of Storm/Stake and GG.

There was some data that was released when remasted came out which tied weapon attack speed directly to weight. No body noticed but basically the dagger became slightly better than the bandit knife despite outdamaging it because it was faster. It actually has a higher dps than the bandit knife. The painting gardian sword,the zwihander and the mail breaker is the same.

It's about on par with Demon's Souls for me because Demon's Souls are the souls mechanics at their most basic, clunky, and unrefined. In Dark Souls 3 all the mechanics are taken past their best point in my opinion to the point that they are both too simple in some areas such as upgrading being reduced to only weapons and then changed unnecessarily in others such as going back to a Mana bar when spells per Attunement seemed much more balanced especially having something like tears of denial capable of being cast multiple times per life.

@@SeraphimxSins I don't think anyone is talking about pvp seeing how from an overall quality perspective it is mostly negligible in any review capacity outside of how the covenant systems add to the experience. Instead I'm talking about how the mana bar made pve a joke if you play a spellcasting class whereas attunement required you to play conservatively or run out of spells to face whatever was ahead of you.

Eh maybe not the worst... Bloodborne exists Absolutely no shield variety 0/10 I'm actually kinda serious. I really do hate that game because of the things that make it not a souls game ie. Basically no shields, no flask, uninteresting main character role (which is to say 0 story motivation to progress), no bonfires, no rolling, a hub that made no sense, bland characters (as proof, name one character trait of one character that isn't shared with at least 4 others), and a number of other traits that didnt appeal to me but it seems many did like.

I disagree that Dark Souls 3 recycles Dark Souls 1's themes. Not exactly. It builds on them, gets to their logical conclusions. Personally I think it handles the themes just the way a sequel should. It adds on to the original ideas, takes them to new places, and recontextualizes them.
