I understand using the MTGO list of cards is best for people who want to prepare to play online right now in Spring 2024. But the current MTGO list will come and go with it's shoehorned-in cards from the current set that aren't up to snuff. LR probably won't make another Vintage Cube Green list for several years. I feel like a better list to review would be LSV's cube + some of the cards that have been cut but have historically been in. (think Thragtusk, Fauna Shaman, Dark Depths, etc.) I just think a review done this way would stand the test of time a bit better.

The best thing about oath of druid is that it turns a terrible deck that didnt get what it needed so is boring, into a fun deck that is full of hope moments.

green is in the state red was like a year ago. it’s old game just isn’t effective anymore and it’s in flux trying to find what it good for

Appreciate Marshall's nostalgia and preference for the more ramp into big thing strategies green used to have. But green was pretty bad in that era. Just way vulnerable. While not all the new cards and pushed strategies are winners, I think for the overall health of cube the current green approach is a big improvement. Really do miss prime time though.

yeah i was in that wave of people who started drafting cube with mono green and the thing is you just lost a lot. it could be really sweet if you got a nice opposition/edric deck but mostly people just bolted your bird and you lost the game. i think mono red is a better onboarding tool because it used to be able to win games with the same strategy as constructed mono red and get the new player excited about playing again. that said its also probably just bad strategy to basically tell new cubers to force any archetype

lsv i think is not stating the actual strength of fleshgorger, ephemerate synergies. that is why the card is in the cube.

It still sucks a 2 card combo 7/5 for 4 mana ain’t it.

@@swiftdragonrider a 3 mana 3/3 lifelink menace ward is fine in black based midrange decks. and being able to turn it into a big creature later is good.
