If I’m not mistaking the POSI LSD won’t function properly on tires bigger than 33”. It’s the weight of tire. Unless you adjust clutch preload in the LSD. Also if the front locker is an automatic lunchbox, it won’t be optimal with 35” tires.

We just did this same trail last week and walked up it with my tj on 35s with lsd dana 44, d30 lunchbox and 4.56 gear. No issues or hang-ups at all, on any rocks. Was a fun trip. We did mostly all the 4s and 5s in the park with no issues. Had to bump it a couple times going up double whammy but it didn't prove to be much of a challenge for my tj. I do have a front and rear Rubicon Express 3 link long arms with true 35" tires, hi lined fenders, trussed front and rear, 4.5" lift with 5 speed and hand throttle

i want to get out there with my rig now! Mine’s a short arm 4.5 on 35s. Fully locked. I feel like it would do pretty well out there. But yeah it’s such a good park. Did it rain while you were down there?
@anthonyjames36442 жыл бұрын
@@arkansasmudkings9961 ir was wet but no rain. The last trip we did it rained. I stay off the steep climbs when its wet and we do alot of trails off peewee crossing, log jam, rocky road, bronco buster and stuff that's relatively flatter. I challenge you to try armadillo pass now though. It went from a 3 to a 6

Ever tried lowering the tire pressures?
@arkansasmudkings99612 жыл бұрын
Yes! If you don't or are new to wheeling, I would absolutely recommend it. They are running around 10-15 psi in this video. The tires on these jeeps have a little bit thicker sidewall, not allowing them to flex as much as some, but it still makes a huge difference. If you are going to do it, you need to either have on-board air to re-inflate once off the trails and on the highway or you can just trailer the jeeps, which is what we do. Trailering also gives you a safe ride to the house in the case that your rig breaks down.

@@arkansasmudkings9961 that is crazy there's very little flex on the sidewalls then.
@arkansasmudkings99612 жыл бұрын
@@scavenom2008 Yeah, especially in the blue tj, those tires just don’t flex. We get more out of the mtz’s, but he’s now switched to a 37 inch bias ply. I believe they are tsl boggers? But I’m not positive. But it will probably have even less give to them

@@scavenom2008 was running 10 psi on the white jeep. Those tires sidewalls would almost flex all the way to the rim. I don't see a problem
