I'll buy the next book as well as already got wee stories a year or 2 after everyone else! My favourite clip my girl told me was series 3 episode 3 (she has a good brain) with Limmy nearly getting run over by 'sound effect' traffic then after the 'crazy experience' going lol of his nut and bopping some house techniq moves by the busy roads. Even the 50% that don't get Limmy in my house got this and were all laughing."I don't think that's nice you laffin" throw a microclip of clint eastwood (limmy withstubble) in every so often in a new series?)

Doing impressions of his characters was a good segment. He both let the audience vent some energy while basically like killing energy. About his accent as he addressed it at the end of this show, I'm Irish and don't find the Scottish accent the easiest to decipher at times(due to the heavy colloquial stuff as much as the accent itself) but never truly failed to understand Limmy's jokes despite any supposed comprehension challenge. A happy accident of sorts came to my benifit as I continued watching Limmy show I found my ear tuning to the Scottish way of language which increased my ability to be a more attentive listener, one who searched for meaning in one's speech rather than have it handed to me on a plate. Limmy was very correct to keep his true speech. It best represents his intent for his jokes and also politely asks a discerning audience to be active listeners and cognitively involved in figuring out the jokes in his work. He writes his work like Miles Davis wrote jazz, honest and true and then only appreciatable by those willing to keep their own active mind present when being entertained. Not saying anyone is smarter or less so, just distinguishing the difference between people who watch comedians or listen to music to shut off or disconnect from their mind, maybe as some kind of break or rest for it(the mind), as opposed to those who keep their mind involved in the entertaining experience as to appreciate it earnestly (as in beyond mere amusement). Any thoughts?

Here's an amusing story - I was in the U.S. Navy when Diana Spencer died. I was in Waukegan, Illinois, north of Chicago, specifically, and on the Great Lakes, where our ships were docked. It was the evening, after most of the Sailor's day-duties were done when the news broke. I recall I was in a lounge, playing pool, but most of the guys in the room were watching a football (American-USA; not "soccer") when a Guard came in and asked for our attention to announce something. I should say, that for the Job Rate I was in, most of my fellow Sailors were African-American (black), but I am Caucasian (white).I knew the English royalty just because my Mom loved that stuff. So after the Guard got our attention, he said "Princess Diana has been killed in an auto accident." The room fell silent as we all understood that this was being presented as "important" and something we needed to absorb. Then the silence broke when one of the guys on a couch asked, to confirm, "Lady-Sings-The-Blues is dead?". And after the Guard gathered what he meant (the couch-guy was referring to Diana Ross, of the Supremes music-group), he said, "No. White lady in England...Royalty." And then a much briefer silence happened, but broke when everybody immediately went back to the TV or playing pool. ....It was a very obvious, "Who gives a shit?" moment, after they knew Diana Ross was okay. And I had the same thoughts.

"Di's deid, ma!" "Di's deid?" "Aye, Di's deid, aye" "Toadie, Di's deid." "Eh?" "Yer son says Di's deid!" "Princess Di's deid?" "Aye, she's deid, da!" "Fuck.."
