Sandpoint is a ski and lake resort town, sort of like Aspen though not on the same order. So the housing costs are off the charts for what you'd otherwise expect from a little Idaho town. Also Idaho in general has a problem in that it's a magnet for America's racists, and this place is no different. Surprisingly nice place to visit, though... enjoy the restaurants.

It's grammatically correct to say it, because you're abbreviating "is". The only way to write it grammatically correctly is "Twenty 's plenty" with a space before the 's but that looks weird.

@@idot3331 Really ?, well bugger me. I can't recall I've ever seen IS abbreviated in that fashion, I'm no expert though.

No wonder that the few that escape America for a holiday, think Europe and UK are so amazing! They've got hundreds of years of catching up to do. What a truly dull place. Their towns say everything, fast food, Christianity and streets with no personality at all. I've absolutely no desire to visit the place at all. Canada was bad enough.
@jasonfenton8250 Жыл бұрын
I find some of the older cities to be tolerable because there's some interesting history and because they were built before the ugly car based city design became a thing. The best part of America is probably the nature stuff. Go hiking, or kayaking, or hunting. Get away from the ugly stroads and strip malls.
@jdlamb4212 Жыл бұрын
Cuz you don't have to squeeze everything into a small area. When these places were first founded you'd just go out and buy some cheap land you can't even see all at once. Poor people could get a chunk of land that would put a lord to shame.
