Dos Oruguitas can still win an Oscar even if it's not the most popular on the soundtrack. It's absolutely beautiful. I don't speak Spanish so I only know a few of the words, yet that song still gets stuck in my head, the melody is so beautiful. I wish I knew Spanish just so I could sing it to myself.

You can still learn the lyrics and sing them even if you aren't fluent in Spanish aside from that! But if the melody gets you, you could learn Two Oruguitas, the English version of the song that plays during the credits.

i am not a fan of the song, but i really want lin manuel to win an oscar, and i will be sad if this does not do it for him. i just do not see how such a slow, relatively simple song can win against some of the other songs. :( :( i just hope the oscar voters know that he has made history with bruno and feel like he deserves to win an oscar for that!

Oh my Maude i cried so much at Moana I was really glad i went to see it by myself. When she hit that high note at the end of the Song of the Ancestors I wept buckets. This was the Disney heroine I waited all my life to see. The first one who ever spoke to me and touched and inspired me. And yes, i know it was LMM's fault!!!

If you have Netflix, please also watch *VIVO.* Lin-Manuel Miranda does the voice of Vivo and did all the music. I watched it last night and it had me dancing and so joyful, but then made me cry. Then had me dancing again, then engaged, laughing, pulse racing, more laughing and dancing, and More Crying! It's really beautiful. The song by Gloria Estafan really took me out!

My niece came over for one weekend right after Coco came out ... we watched it maybe 6-7 times. I wasn't even annoyed that she wanted to watch it over and over again. I also loved the movie and I thought it was great. Encanto definitely has that same emotional heart as Coco. They are both really amazing films, and their soundtracks are beautiful.

What I love about Dos Oruguitas and Two Oruguitas is that each version has it’s own lyrics that match where we are in the story arch. First time we have the caterpillars representing Abuela and Abuelo. The second time we hear it, it is in English and not a translation, but different and the lyrics really match the journey that Abuela and Maribel have gone through to reunite. It’s wonderfully masterful. Well done Lin-Manuel Miranda!

Okay, I love, Love, LOVE *Encanto* as I'm sure all of us do. And many have also seen and loved *Tik Tik Boom!* However, last night I watched *VIVO* on Netflix and could not sit down! The music was phenomenal and I loved every moment of that movie. No surprise to learn that *Lin-Manuel Mirando voices the titular character Vivo AND did all the music.* Hearing Lin-Manuel and *Gloria Estafan* in the same movie and songs made my week! So please watch *VIVO.* It is funny that my top four favorite animated movies are *Beauty & The Beast, Encanto, Moana and now Vivo.* Three of those 4 have something in common. 🎵🥰🤗

Agreed 100%. I get what Lin said in this video, but you also need to take into account the song that grabs the public's attention, and that song was Bruno. THAT was the standout song. I think he submitted the wrong song for Oscar consideration.

@@nene1082 I 100% agree. It's also the most complex in the whole movie (other than Family Madrigal and Surface Pressure). THAT should've been the song to pick for the OSCAR. Oh well.
