Darkroom Double Exposure Prints From Two Negatives Tutorial

Double exposures are beautiful and surreal, and in this video we are learning how to make a print from two medium format negatives, using only one enlarger. The method I am using is not the simplest one, but it allows greater control over printing results. If you have two enlargers, it will be extra easy! I am explaining how I did the double exposures of my previous works, and sharing the dodging/burning techniques.

The solarisation really added the extra 'something' and turned a technically interesting print in to something to go on a wall. Congratualtions also on a clear and complete explanation of a rather complicated process. Good job all round in fact.

When you get your final print I recommend scanning the print or copy the print with a camera so you can make more prints from it without starting over.

Great stuff Lina, my brain is zooming along at a pace with the darkroom, the 35mm camera and taking pictures actually on a film camera, a first year photography student in amazement of your tutorial, Thank you, I have a free day on Friday darkroom hopefully all to myself, I need two go through images I think will give me a little start. You got me going Lina PS: only had 4 weeks shooting film and processing it, in for a penny in for a pound. I will let you know how I get on

Great information thanks! For sure do a solarization video, even if there are others, it's such a mysterious process that for sure there are lots of different ways to do it.
