Epilepsy: Some people ask why there is an epilepsy warning in the disclaimer of the videos. Both hypnosis and guided meditation, to varying degrees induce a trance state or deep relaxation. 1) The short and safe answer is this: In hypnosis training as a general rule, we are cautioned about working with people with certain medical or psychological conditions, one of them being epilepsy. Hypnosis or hypnotherapy is an alternative therapy, not a medical therapy. It is unclear whether deep relaxation and trance states may or may not induce seizures in people who have epilepsy, when they are in deep relaxation. Hence we stay on the safe side. 2) It is up to the individual or listener with an epilepsy condition to seek their own medical advice and do their own research. Some people with epilepsy report to have no issues with listening to hypnosis and meditation, and have even taken offense to the warning. It may be that they can listen but it's not up to ME to decide on any persons medical matters or be the provider of medical advice. Hence the warning is there for people with epilepsy who have not been informed or who would not have considered the possibility of risk. Some makers of recordings include the warning and some don’t. I have chosen to include it.

I don't understand why people have to be such snowflakes about it. It's not like the warning is taking up recorded time you paid for. If you don't like the warnings just slide the little bar past it. Many also have warnings for depression and bipolar because being in a relaxed state can cause the mind to wonder off into some dark depressive thinking. Something people without the condition might not understand. As a general rule put up the warnings to both protect yourself from evil lawyers but most importantly warn those with condition that deep trance may have negative effects.

Thank you, Lina. You've put an end to my insomnia of many years. For the first time since I can remember, I'm falling asleep within minutes. Last night my skeptical wife listened for the first time and was asleep even faster. Your voice is amazingly soothing and the meditation you provide is perfect. Last night my pet woke me up partway through it and I heard you talking about deep sleep and I wondered if picking back up in the middle was going to work at all. Right then you began counting down from 100. You didn't even make it to 93 before I was out again. This past week I've been waking up refreshed and full of energy, and that simply hasn't been the case in well over a decade. Thank you.

I've been so stressed about finals this week that I went 3 nights with absolutely no sleep. Then, I found this. The first night, I fell asleep somewhere towards the end of the story of the traveler. The second night, I fell asleep the moment she started even talking about the traveler. She really does plant suggestions into my subconscious, and the way she talks is very, very effective for lulling me to sleep. I've tried other guided sleep meditations before and they've never worked. I usually get too distracted, too anxious, or cannot loosen up. I'm so glad I found this. Thank you!

I was diagnosed with PTSD a little over a year ago. One of the symptoms I've dealt with for longer than I can remember is being unable to fall asleep peacefully. I also have sleep phase disorder but since I don't mind being up at night that's not as much of an issue as just the falling asleep part. I was trying guided sleep meditation out of desperation and was extremely skeptical before I found your video. Doctors have tried multiple medications for sleep but none of them stop the worrying while attempting to drift off. And the other videos I tried before I found yours were not comforting or distracting enough which I realize is a pretty difficult combination to achieve. But you've done it. This is the only video out of the 13 I have tried that works. I fell asleep peacefully within 15 mins of the first listen. Your words align perfectly with my DBT therapy. Separating myself from my thoughts and remembering to be mindful are two of the most helpful things you say. Thank you so much for making this video. This has really made a difference for me.

This presenter, Lina Grace, has a wonderfully relaxing calm voice, which she gracefully modulated in a pleasing low volume. She also has a sweet sounding Australian accent. She utilizes an indirect method to help you relax. She helps clear your mind through storytelling; a man sows land, tends sheep, names stars, gathers and writes all his thoughts down leaving his mind clear. She introduces rain into her story. All the while gentle soft music plays in the background and pleasant sounds of rain gradually become more predominate. She eventually counts down from 100. Her narration stops around the 46 minute mark, music and rain continue, the music slowly fades, after an hour it's only the sound of white noise and beautifully pregnant raindrops falling, splashing, and flowing. Although I couldn't get back to sleep myself (excess pain and such), I think this session has value and could help when I'm not experiencing additional pain/suffering.

What the voice from a Canadian person? If you'd be willing to listen to a couple of my guided videos and be honest with me if my voice is cringy for you or if it soothes you? And mind if I aak where you're from?

Meditation Inspiration Hello Michael, thank you for inviting me to listen to your guided meditation, I really liked it and found it soothing. The only reason I didn’t fall asleep is because it was lunchtime here 😊. My comment re American accents took me by surprise when I reread it, I had been going through a patch of sleeping very poorly at that time so I think it was borne of tiredness. As far as finding some voices soothing and others not so much, I think we all have our own preferences and mine tends to lean towards male voices, I think because of the timbre and pitch. Female voices often have a higher pitch which I don’t like for this type of thing. I find accents which are familiar are restful too and as I’m from the UK my own English accent is appealing to me, as are Welsh and Irish and also some of the softer Scottish accents...not that I’ve found any guided meditations with the other UK accents yet though! 😊 Your Canadian accent is fairly gentle, and in answer to your question I don’t find it cringey at all, in fact I have subscribed to your channel. Just to clarify, I have nothing against Americans, I just prefer other accents to listen to. Good luck with your KZbin channel 👍🏻. 😊💛

I just want you to know how thankful I am for this video. I’ve been an insomniac on my whole life. I’m the one you refer to as having “a busy mind”. This video puts me to sleep in less than five minutes. I listen to it every single night, and have been for about a year. You have a literally save my life. And thank you so much.

I donno what she did in this video but I slept like a dead guy yesterday, I usually sleep way too late and also wake up in the middle of the night and feel frustrated about it , this kept me from waking up , i remember having a tendency to wake up but I felt like i was paralysed or something... Jeez i felt fresh after waking up today.

+abcdefg15720 Thank you for your kind comment! It's ok if you don't listen with awareness, whatever message you need to take in will happen subconsciously anyway. Go with your flow.

I was gonna wash clothes today, but when I saw this video, I told my self, sleep is much more important, Thank you so much Miss Grace!

I love your voice. It is so soft. Greatly needed with talkdown. It immediately triggers my body to start focusing on breathing and relaxation. After 35 years working odd shifts, I became dependant on sleeping pills. I require less since I have listened to your hypnosis. Thank you!

Wonderful! I listened just to relax and man, did I relax! This is your third video I’ve used since finding you yesterday. Another great story. You’re SO great at this! All the insomnia/relaxation videos I listen to are male. Female voices don’t seem to help me, but you do. I wish you had many many more! Thanks for sharing your amazing gift with us.
