I have a 2004 Lincoln Town Car Ultimate fully equipped with a mere 22,900+ miles on the clock. I am always looking for upgrades. These cars are dynamos. I have a friend in New York that still uses a fleet of Town Cars for airport limos and other 'for-hire' situations. I drove one with 548,000+ miles on it and I couldn't tell the difference from mine.

@@Ziade_Garage - O-M-G-! Talk about real-performance...take my 1993 Lincoln MARK VIII with her 'Teksid' modular 4.6 litre aluminum V8 engine! She's the real-deal with her 32-valve inhaling and exhaling! Now she's the firebrand. Every time I take her out I always get offers to buy it. The fun I have is slowly creeping up to a red light beside a Camaro or Challenger which is already poppin' their clutches lurching forward by inches. The light changes GREEN - all I can barely see in my rear view mirror is a glint of their grille! We MARK owners have a few tricks under the hood too that are like 'ancient Chinese secret'!😁

@@pigpen3499 I wouldn't say only. You have exhaust/gears/intake like this/transmission upgrades/ 5MT/6MT OR complete overhaul. Many more extra besides the tune

I ordered the whole kit. Meaning I didn't just replace the tube. The diameter on the air box on the p71 is alot bigger then on the town car. I got the whole thing. Meaning the whole air box and the tubing. And it does sound alot better.

I did this to my 05 & engine light came on after a half hour, i forgot the code. Cleared it and same thing. Put awful stock unit back on, never any codes. Can't figure ot out.

So i went to the salvage and found a p71 air intake only to later find out my lincoln town cars air filter faces downwards and not frontwards like yours. Also the plug in part for the mac sensor is much wider than yours. From what ive seen so far on the internet, ive only seen the ones like mine. I wonder why yours is placed differently. I have the 98 executive series. Just bought it with 88k miles

@@Ziade_Garage - "A man's car?" I wasn't aware of a Town Car 'gender' issue? I like mine quiet, but if it will correct the 'quick' I'll go for it. I alternate between the Town Car and a Cadillac DeVille. My 32-valve NorthStar spoiled me performance-wise. I get into the Lincoln trying to drive it the same way and it just can't keep up with me so I have to back off a bit to get used to the 16-valve lag vs the 32-valve 'KA-POW".

You wanna change the box and tube, the box has a bigger diameter breather in the bottom compared to the factory Lincoln. I got an 07 limited, went to the salvage yard and found an 08 police interceptor and got the box, the tube and the 200 amp alternator for $120.00, hell it even came with a K&N filter...

Should be in the glove box with your owners manual. A little card with the code on it. If not...call Lincoln and give them your vin number. They ll provide it for you

The video showed the 5 digit code behind the driver side door panel up around the door handle area but 2 commenters said this: “Hey buddy check under hood driver's side toward the firewall in the corner there is a brace piece of metal. My 2007 Lincoln town car has the number stamped there no need to tear open door. I discovered it by just trying any 5 digit code I could find” “2005 Lincoln town car has code on trunk hinge. Passenger side.” I’m in the progress of buying a TC this week, don’t have it yet so can’t confirm.

Anybody that thinks a bigger intake certainly makes more power has never successfully tuned an engine. Then there’s how rough the flow is compared to stock 🙄

Absolutely not. The mass air flow reads 80 mm tube. The tube is 80mm. It's about the sound insulation on the stock intake tube that makes these cars a slouch. Putting the crown Vic P71 on there definitely makes sense. Not only on my cars but my followers as well as other people that Im connected with. Tuning is only if your actually increasing the tube size.

⁠not what I meant. Tuning means taking an engine and making more power. If somebody thinks that removing the snorkel on the stock airbox makes even an ounce more power than stock, they don’t know the first thing about engine tuning. I’d be surprised if the power wasn’t the tiniest bit LESS with that mod. About the tube, it doesn’t make the TC a slouch. It’s just a resonator that makes it sound different. It doesn’t effect performance. Cop cars have straight tubes because there is no need to make anything pleasant in your work vehicle. Cost cutting. Also, if the MAF orifice measures 80mm then what difference would it make to remove the snorkel? You’re still restricted to 80mm, all you’re doing is making the intake charge slower and less regular. Believe me, there is a reason the snorkel is there and there is a reason it ingests air from that particular location. Marauders and CVPI have snorkels in the same location that may look different but still draw from a particular space behind the headlight. This isn’t an accident and the engineers actually do know what they are doing. Without getting into a KZbin argument, consider why the GSXR1300 (supposed fastest production motorcycle) has smaller intake throats than some smaller GSXR models 🤔 I tune engines for a living. More is not more.

Police intakes are straight and it gives it a much throatier sound WHICH WE LOVE!! DEFINITELY Should have been on the town cars. Why make a Mercedes Benz S class sound good but not the town car. So this is Def an improvement over the intake pockets.

@@Ziade_Garage​​⁠I know from first hand experience that it sounds better. That is different than claiming any more power over stock by calling it a slouch. Similar subject: I just went all the way with the larger MAF and Marauder airbox with custom reprogramming “because I could”. Yes it increases power but only peak power. If anybody is thinking about doing the full mod for “more power” don’t waste your money. As expected, the only power gains are above 60mph and you won’t “feel” it. Wide intake for highway speed gains, small intake for jumping off the line.
