My first car was a 78 Ford LTD, built it up a little, but then I got my dream car , 79 Lincoln town car which made that Lincoln look small lol. I pulled the 400M out and put a RHS built 460 in, around 400hp, C6 transmission rebuilt with race clutches and shift kit which is really what made that land yacht get up and go. Changed the 9in rear from 2:73 to 3:50 traction lock. Painted black, tinted windows ( mafia style) but kept the white walls and hubcaps to keep the sleeper look. That was the funnest and enjoyable car I ever had. Street racing anything that pulled up to the light, and ran it at local drags trip, high 14’s . Loved the video, it like a blast from my past. While other kids were buying mustangs, and Camaros, sports cars, I was riding with my friends in crushed velour couch seats, fit 6 comfortably and rode like a cloud and was sitting at lights doing dual wheel burnouts and having a blast. Like you said, you can modify anything and make it your own one of a kind

It wasn't perfect by any means, nor was it really _"fast"_ - but, it wasn't this slow, lumbering land yacht, either. I have added cold air intakes, and chipped them out, which added some horsepower and removed the speed limiters and changed the shift points, but you really outdid yourself and you made it look cool af too with the black accents. NICE.. I've always wanted to add a turbo to one and try to get 1000hp out of it, and i will one day.. Those 4.6s are nearly indestructible.. I had over 400k miles on 2 of my town cars and none had less that 200k when i got rid of them, with not even a hint of a knock or any trouble.. Castrol GTX is your friend...

Nice Lincoln! I was gifted a 1990 Mark 7 around my first driving times...it was a great car ...it suffered an early ending from me being dumb and I always regretted it! Such a sweet ride

I like that a lot- especially the sound. Kind of absurd, but looks like fun.

@Johnny Hammersticks as a dad, I've often been tempted to give a 2000s GrandMArquis the "fat Miata" treatment. My wife doesn't share my vision, though, and says she won't ride in an "old man car." So I've decided it's a battle I choose not to fight. Still, I enjoy seeing oddities like this.

If you spent some time doing research you would have realized 10 years ago that anything is possible .But if this video is what made you realize that, you should probably wait a while and do some homework

@@erikcapozzi3425 10 years ago I didn't have a town car, 10 years ago I was still in high school. There's no time limit on modifying your car is there? Yeah, I should do as much research as possible, the fact is I never thought anyone would have done it on the Panther platform, until recently I've seen a few crown vics and now a town car. Some people like to plan as they go.

Awesome build. This reminds me of my first car. 91’ accord lx. It was dark blue with the light tan interior. 5 speed. I put a stage 1 clutch, eibach lowering springs, 5% tinted windows, smoked out the taillights, headlights front grill and all the chrome trim, black 17” Nissan Sentra SER rims, exhaust, HID headlights, custom mounted 6x9’s behind the rear headrests and 4 12” subs in the trunk, removed the badges and I drove it to the ground. I’ll always miss that car

Huge praise to your friend! I'm currently doing the same to my own first car: 1989 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon. About three weeks from the time of posting: I will be converting my First car, JDM into a 1:1 replica Tokyo Metropolitan Police cruiser with the proper Japanese police equipment. Trying to figure out how to remove the oldschool japanese engine governor those pre-2000s JDM Imports have. 110km not fast enough to me.
