I think anything above $1000 is a stretch for a product where you basically have no local support and warranty. My main criticisms are, no place to store the pen magnetically, no 120hz and no accelerometer for screen rotation, and to a lesser extent, 200 gr heavier than a Surface pro 9. Having said that, my questions for the review are: do the side buttons interfere with the tablet when holding it? For instance to watch a video how good or bad are the speakers? (for instance compared to an iPad pro) how is fan noise during light and heavier use? While this device is focused on drawing, at this price it should be a good general Windows tablet too.

Loved this first impression review! Will LincPlus sell the pen seperately? I'm excited for the full review in the future ans I'm hoping that this pen can be a great s pen alternative. I already have a tab s 8 ultra for context.

I haven't seen the wacom feel logo in almost a decade! I wonder if the machine will come preloaded with a Wacom settings app to change the pressure curve and button functions on the pen?

when you do the full review could you test out a pen with side buttons and see if you can customize what they do? that's the first thing I have to consider when looking at a product like this

For $1200 it needs to have a 120hz OLED screen and pretty high end specs (I'm think Ryzen 7040 APU and at least 16gb of ram and 512gb-1tb ssd)
@teohontech71415 ай бұрын
The Tab S8 Ultra exists and is even cheaper but it doesn’t run Windows.

Oh right does it get warm/hot if you draw on it for hours?? :0 I wonder how long the battery will be like and if it's gonna allow itself to be a second monitor connected to the laptop and the screen will still works

OMG! Sounds like dream tablet for me:- Touchscreen and pen features in a Windows tablet just like Surface Pro. Bundled with pen & keyboard. Let me know if this tablet available for sale in Malaysia. Use for Blender, PS & Clip Studio Is the SSD storage space easily swap to 1tb without sending to technician? How's the pen experience when you draw on 300dpi A4 artwork? Does it lag?

Hi, it would be interesting to see the performance of this tablet's Iris graphic when working with Photoshop
@denizdezigner2 ай бұрын
They really should build this on top of the intel Core Ultra 5 125U with Iris graphics or even intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU with ARC graphics. First one will provide longer battery work time, second - powerful performance.

I love the fact that they're competing in the Windows tablet space. However, there are 2 things that have stuck out to me so far. 1: it doesn't look like that keyboard can be detached and used wirelessly meaning people like you, teoh, who like to draw and have their keyboards off to the side to use shortcuts can't do that. The other thing is the price. I guess we'll have to see whether that estimate of 1000 - 1200 is true, but if it is then at least here in the US I can walk into best buy (tech store in the US) and get the sp9 with a 12th gen i5, 16GB of RAM, and a 120hz screen with the keyboard for $1100 + tax. I don't know that the side buttons are enough to justify that similarity in cost. How do you feel about it? You and i's uses cases are different when it comes to devices like these. Huge props for having a type A, 2 type c's, a headphones jack, AND upgradeable storage though. That's a huge benefit.

I believe this is usually for products like screen displays like Huion, XP Pen and Wacom because of the shortcut keys, it's for art purposes, not for gaming or anything even though it has good specs.

@@noyoucantseeme Surface pro is not for gaming either and at this price it should be a good general Windows tablet too
@teohontech71415 ай бұрын
That keyboard is not wireless. I personally don't use the hotkeys when working at home since a wireless keyboard by the side is more useful. While there are a total of 12 hotkeys, it's more convenient to use the non-drawing hands with 6. Between this vs Surface Pro, it will probably come down to whether you want that extra USB-A port, and the microSD card slot. 120Hz is nice but not really a key selling feature to me unless that's the only differentiating feature.

Does it have a driver with pressure curve adjustment, and customization of the pen side switch?
@teohontech71412 ай бұрын
Customisation of the pen, eg pressure and pen shortcut button, will have to come from the software you use. The driver only customises the shortcut buttons on the tablet.

Can you do slow diagonal line test? Sometimes jitter usually happens if you draw really slow. I would love to see you use the spen creator edition for sure for slow diagonal test For drawing purposes this might be the best screen display computer with touch and that'll be very great but I hope the specs are high enough to handle blender. Can it be a second screen as well or just it's own computer because I would love to connect it to my gaming laptop so it'll handle the blender instead.

I wonder if the surface go 4 is good for on the go drawing
@theinktician5 ай бұрын
I don't think the price reasonable when you compare to the Surface. Going by Huions outlandish pricing doesn't seem right, especially when it (and this product) are using outdated hardware
@teohontech71415 ай бұрын
They could go with new processors but price will be higher. And the much faster processors don’t really benefit drawing apps that much because even the old 11th gen can run drawing apps without lag. Eg. Imagine Apple iPad with M100 vs M2 processor for drawing.
@theinktician5 ай бұрын
@@teohontech7141 Fair enough, though I do have a friend who uses an extreme number of layers in Cip Studio, and they can't run a livestream while drawing because of their hardware. I know layers are supposed to be more RAM dependent than CPU, but if this is an issue, I won't be able to recommend this to them

I'm disappointed with the processor choice. Hopefully this means the price will be under $800. Wishful thinking, but 11th gen Intel is obsolete compared to 12th and 13th gen. More heat, less cores, less battery life. Certainly here for availability and cost cutting, but hopefully they aren't marking the price up with this in mind
@teohontech71415 ай бұрын
The thing is even with 12th or 13th gen processors, battery life in real world still sucks with Windows unless the processor is throttled.

When is this supposed to be available? Their website gives no indication. They just have a marketing image with the tablet, but it uses a Procreate app screenshot, which is really strange and rather unprofessional, as everyone knows this tablet will not be able to run this app. The only thing available is a android tablet which sells under 200 usd, so having this tablet selling over 1000 usd would be a stretch, as it is quite unproven. I know this is Windows but still.
@teohontech7141Ай бұрын
Not sure when they will ship. Best to ask the company. The photo on their Indiegogo page shows the units are already assembled. Yeah, I've told them about the Procreate image on a Windows tablet weeks ago but they still kept that. An Android tablet is different from a Windows tablet. There are many things an Android tablet cannot so, and the main reason to get an Android tablet is for Android OS, and for Windows tablet is for Windows OS.
