What I love about this woman is she's a model and is happy being a model. She has no perfume, no make up line, has not written a book (so far as I know), doesn't fancy herself a clothing or furniture designer and is not interested in doing movies. Classic model.

I don't know what you're talking about. If you really read my comment, I wrote that Evangelista is content being a model and only a model. As for a "limited" life, tell that to Carmen Dell Orefice. She's been modeling for the past 50 years at least. How you got anything about "higher levels" out of my comment is a mystery.

To me models have no talent except that they have good bone structure and are tall in order for the clothes they wear to hang better....Just walking clothes horses...Linda seems shy here...However, not sure why models think that they can automatically act or have a talent for it...there are people who have been to RADA, are wonderful actors who struggle to get work....so why do models think that just cos they are on the catwalk they can just walk straight into that profession? At least Linda knows that.....

@tanjiroukamado57663 жыл бұрын
I wonder what Kyle thought when he watched this. Honestly, I wonder why they broke up in the first place. I'm surprised Linda let him get away, he was a genuine catch, very good-natured and sweet and kind, a looker too. Engaged for 2? 3? years and had been together for 6 years but I guess they realized that something wasn't working, which is surprising considering how perfect they seemed together (but not really surprising when you think about Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend's case being together for 9 long years but suddenly breaking up). There's a few interview articles with Kyle and he talks about the split, and it basically boils down to him having "commitment issues" in the sense that [his words] "being together with Linda was fun, but he [Kyle] didn't see the point in marriage, the relationship wasn't really going anywhere." Linda isn't marriage material, is that it. Linda really wanted to marry him but she was the one who broke the engagement off and moved on to Fabien Barthez and got pregnant with him instead, but had a stillborn, got pregnant again by billionaire Pinault. She never really got married, Pinault chose Salma Hayek over her. Ironically Kyle met his eventual wife after the break-up

sketchrih I'm just curious, what are your reasons for not liking Linda? Could you tell me your reasons why you say that you don't like her? I'm curious and confused.
@labism2694 жыл бұрын
@@victoriamadridano1016 I think she holds herself in a high pedestole and as a runway model is not as captivating as u would expect someone so well. Known as her to be. Also, i believe the 10000$ statement she once made was obnoxious.
@victoriamadridano10164 жыл бұрын
sketchrih She once tried to correct that "10,000 dollars" statement of hers. She has said that she hated how that quote keeps on following her around, and that the quote was taken out of context. If I remember correctly, I believe she said that the 10,000 dollar thing was just like, a personal thing between her and fellow model Christy Turlington. It was almost like, just a joke, between the two of them. But the media ran off with it to create buzz and intrigue about her and her 'high-end,' elitist lifestyle. I think you mistake Linda for an arrogant diva, because (even though I'm just a fan of hers), I would say to you that from all the articles and interviews I've read about her, and from all the videos I've seen her in, the impression or persona that I've always gotten from her is she is and has always been a nice, gentle and appreciative person. I remember her saying once that she always thanks every person in a creative team (like the photographer, the make-up team, the lighting team, the director, the editors, etc). And she has admitted in an interview that she doesn't really like how she behaved in her early years in modeling, especially how immature she was when she had said that "10 thousand dollars" statement. She's more wise and more mature now, and thankful. I'm really sorry that you feel dislike for Linda, because personally, I love her. She's the only 90's supermodel that I favor. I think she's beautiful, both inside and out. Linda once said, "I'm not perfect, and I'm not THE most beautiful, or anywhere near the most beautiful." True, she may not be THE most beautiful, BUT she is still absolutely gorgeous. I love her because she has humbleness/humility in her heart. She always gives credit where credit is due. I guess what I REALLY want to say in this comment is: I think you mistake her for something that she's really not. We only know her public persona, "Linda the Supermodel." But most people that have met her in person, have said that Linda is actually nice and easy to talk to. Don't hate on her, because we all make mistakes, we all wish that we hadn't said or done something stupid in our life, and as we grow older, we change. We learn. I'm sorry for my long comment. I'm just trying to convince you that Linda isn't really as arrogant or terrible as you think her to be.
@scottweaver23044 жыл бұрын
She is the best high fashion model of her era and one of the best of all time. Her body of work speaks for itself and her reputation in the industry is top notch. She has frequently been called one of the most professional and hard working models of all time by those who have worked with her and also that she is kind to the people on set. She also spoke up against racism in the industry and has been an advocate for the the gay community and lent her platform to raise money and awareness for AIDS research. I wouldn't call that appalling.
