Larry was the one who gave Linda the way to become producer in one of dallas episode. The studio initially refused Linda's proposal to direct/produce one of the episode. Larry stood behind her back and helped her by lobbying the studio. They were true friends. Helped each other and reliable in any time.

As a young boy I can remember my parents and grandmother watching Dallas every friday night. Of course they watched the Dukes of Hazzard with me, then Dallas came on at 9PM. Sometimes I'd watch, sometimes I would go in the other room and play with my Hot Wheels. I knew the names J.R. and Bobby back in those days. As a college boy I started watching the reruns on TNN. I was hooked on the show. I'd watch the 2 reunion movies and I was psyched when I heard it was coming back. Goodbye JR.

Pam and Kristin were the ones that did it for me 😍🥰😘, but I believe her beauty was in how she grew with the series from being one of the most stuck up and emotionally pathetic to one of the strongest, able to fight JR as an equal. Also, what a gorgeous set of legs 😘😍.

The whole cast and even the opening list of characters was charmed and special. The way their last names fell right into place.Over the years the Ewings epitomized the American family and what really was going on. ...And JR Ewing was the "MAN"... He loved his family and respected Jock like any father would appreciate. From one Larry to another; thank you "Bud"...I'll call the Cattlemans and have Dora Mae set up our favorite table!!!!! ( I own the entire series on DVD. )

The love and respect Linda and Patrick had for Larry was beautiful❤ This does not surprise me at all. Even I had a great deal of respect for Larry Hagman, whether he was JR Ewing or the Major on "I Dream if Jeannie".

i gotta echo what many of you said...i watched as a kid...being born 2 years before it started. then, as a college linebacker, i'd rush back from workouts to watch the re-runs on TNN...and JR was the main reason. great actor, and apparently a great guy.

I remember him in some of my favorite shows growing up... I had such a crush on Major Nelson and then later I loved to hate J.R. and yes, I waited on tender-hooks to find out who had shot him like everybody else. But what always got to me was when he was in interviews, he was always so much more worthy of love and crushing on... What a beautiful soul and spirit he was. R.I.P. Mr.Hagman, you will be missed.

By "Dallas," Hagman had been through some hard times and appreciated it way more than he did his success on "I Dream of Jeannie."
