My favorite character played by Linda Hunt is Operations Manager Henrietta Lange on NCIS Los Angeles!

I've had my eye on her since she won the oscar. I relate to her. I'm only 4' 10 " and like her have had to project being bigger and badder than I really am. Her voice has such authority.

She's always exuded a sort of wiseness, a kind of wisdom, even when she was a lot younger. It draws you in and makes you wait for whatever she's going to say. And there never seems to be a question that isn't worth giving a thoughtful answer.

This season of NCIS LA has started out with Linda Hunt being the center of a three part story. She kicks B**T and takes names, which is exactly in character. Loved the clips of past films she did, and she has been on stage, too. Amazing artist.

I'ave only been a fan of CBS Sunday Morning since last year, so I found this by accident. Ever since The Year of Living Dangerously, I have thought she was marvelous. I don't think I'd watch NCIS LA without her on it. I just wish her role were bigger.

Sorry, I forgot something. There is always someone who makes ugly comments just to get attention. I believe that is the case here. Because that person is desperately seeking attention with such comments, the best thing is just to ignore her/him. Anyone can see that this actress is a giant in terms of talent. Who cares what someone with no life thinks about her, or anything else for that matter?

The first time I saw Linda Hunt was in the movie The Year of Living Dangerously, opposite Mel Gibson. I didn't recognise her. I thought *she* was a *he*. It's incredible what a haircut will do to a person's appearance. I also like the fact that she's in a loving relationship with someone she loves. I know some people who would question why she's in a relationship with a woman, much less a marriage. I say "why not? If they love each other, and wish to marry, that's what matters. Who is the rest of us to say no?" :)

I was turned on to ncis los angeles because of Linda Hunt.... I can't believe we're the same height.... I thought I was taller than her.... she's a force and larger than her size...

reba kows Yes she is. As another shortie I acted like a grown up early in life. I dressed to look older, deepened my voice. It worked.
@vanityfair0014 жыл бұрын
Hi Sharon, I agree with you regarding size. I thought she was a lot shorter but in my world (4ft. 9in.) that's kind of a normal height and wasn't considered "dwarfism".

Una actriz extraordinaria, la admiro desde que la vi en una película que se titulaba algo así como "el año que vivimos el peligro" y la he seguido en NCSI Los Angeles. Pese a su estatura es una actriz gigante.

Of VERY minor importance is that Ms. Hunter has Turner Syndrome. It occurs when a baby has only one X chromosome from the mother, then either the X chromosome from dad is either missing completely XO, or partially missing. A genetic abnormality that never stopped her from becoming a witty, brilliant actress who found love and marriage with a woman she loved. Yahoo! This made my day!
@poetcomic12 жыл бұрын
The Turner Syndrome itself finally asked Linda directly and she said NO SHE FORTUNATELY DOES NOT HAVE TS.

In 1995 I wrote a book which I titled Marionettes while writing this book one of my imaginary characters in the story stroke me to be played by Linda Hunt. Aunt Julia, a spinster who dreams about being rescued by a shinning armor. Marionettes is available in Amazon.

This is a great well round interview. The only thing I didn't like is when she talked about retiring. I selfishly love her on NCIS Los Angeles and can't imagine the show without her. This "team" does a great job of selling themselves as a loving, support unit. Anyway she seems like a lovely person.

"How the hell old is she?!" I queried as I watched NCIS LA. This because I thought she was the grandma in the 1980 movie *My Bodyguard* with Chris Makepeace. Surprise, surprise, *Ruth Gordon* played the grandma... Anyone else see or hear any similarities in *Ruth Gordon and Linda Hunt* and their acting styles?

She actually has a form of Turner Syndrome, which I myself have as well. One of the almost universal things that comes with it is short stature (usually it resembles mild dwarfism, usually proportional). It also often comes with any combination and different severities of heart, kidney, skin, teeth, bones, nails, eyes, ears, hormone and fertility and some cognitive issues (usually to do with math, sense of direction and map reading issues that is usually more severe than in females in generally), and only happens in females. It has to do with the total or partial loss of one of the "X" chromosomes, so it is a kind of genetic disorder. I wonder how it has manifested in her. I also happen to suspect that Dolly Parton and Stevie Nicks has it as well. But so far, no one else who is a celebrity is known as having this, and it can be easy to hide.

This interview annoys me greatly. Lee Cowan is hyper-focused on her diminutive size and peppers his commentary with references to her smallness. Who cares!! If all you can see is her size and not her immense talent, you’re not looking hard enough.

Why? Why is that cool? Sounds like a lot of crazy going on. Lesbian and then married but in an open relationship? These are not admirable traits NOR are they cool.
