In an interview on one of the NCIS: Los Angeles dvds, Linda talked about a scene where her character was on a climbing wall. Being scared of heights, she would never go anywhere near something high but her character was fearless so she was fearless for that scene. Says a lot about her dedication.

Linda Hunt is just amazing. She sure took a lemon and made lemonade. This should inspire all of us. Her parents must have loved her so and she must have thrilled them. I first became aware of her In The Year of Living Dangerously and have never been disappointed. Thanks for presenting her to us.

I don't remember where or when I first encountered Linda Hunt, but I've always loved watching her work. She ALWAYS has that commanding & powerful air about her, so I'm always taken aback a little when I stop to realise she's not 'regular' height, because she DOES just seem so much larger than life.
@Dallas-Nyberg3 ай бұрын
It is not how big you are, it's how significant you become in the hearts of those who encounter you. Linda achieves all that and more. Bravo Linda.

I was upset to find out she didn't play Edna Mode in The Incredibles.
@truthtube10005 жыл бұрын
Yeah...she probably should've had her people contact their people(like Samuel Jackson did once he saw froze on looked like him)...and they probably would've given her the job. They mixed her physical likeness and voice with the career etc of a paramount costume designer(edith head...who is now deceased since 1981). I'm disappointed she didn't get the offer for the role. A man does the voice for edith mode though

I just finished watching your Linda Hunt video. Your writing is incredible--and thoughtful, especially as brought forth in your concluding comments/thoughts that hold within them your reflective insights. You've got such a wonderful vocabulary, which includes words like "tenacity" and "vicarious." It is so refreshing to listen to someone who really understands the importance of eloquence in language. ~drs (01/02/24)

One of my fave roles of hers is as a museum curator in the 1997 sci-fi horror film "The Relic". It was so fun watching her trying to help save people from a giant lizard creature...you just cannot watch that movie and not root for her character to make it to the end alive. She is and always has been a screen legend!

For me, I don't think I saw anything from her until I saw her play Judge Zoey Hiller on The Practice. It was a show of great characters. Eugene, Elanor and Jimmy were my favorite regulars. But Judge Hiller, in just 23 of the 167 episodes, was my favorite. And I would quickly find it was because Linda Hunt was brilliant in the part. It's great to see her so happy in her personal life in this video. She's a treasure.
