This was a tough one, Shawn. My heart and prayers go out to the gentleman who requested this and his wife. My Grandma spent the last 10 years of her life not knowing who anyone was. It was heartbreaking, for sure. I'm also glad I found your channel. I love the fact you take the time to learn, and educate me about songs from the past. I never heard this one before and I'm grateful to the donor for requesting it, and for you playing it. God bless

Linda Ronstadt is the greatest most versatile female vocalist of her generation. In the past 4 years I lost my father, mother, and 2 friends. One committed suicide in January. Jumped off a bridge in Pittsburgh.

The voice of an angel. It’s ironic that now Linda’s voice has been stolen by a neurological condition very similar to Parkinson’s disease. Thank goodness we have her beautiful recordings. There’s no other voice like Linda’s. The very best of the best. 🌸🌺✌️

This definitely has a Karen Carpenter vibe in Linda's clear, no frill delivery of this lyric driven song. Love the heartfelt reaction, Shawn as our hearts go out to our friend and his wife. Yet not goodbye, but until we meet again. Blessings.

Never heard this one before, but Linda's performance reminds me of "Long, Long Time". Not surprised it was composed by Karla Bonoff who had a few hits in the '80s, though I had no idea she had written for Linda. My best to you and your family.

@@MattJocksnobody does it better than Linda. She gave Bonoff huge exposure she otherwise would not have gotten. I never heard of her until Linda sang her songs.
