www.buymeacoff... Welcome to the BODYWEIGHT BASICS Series. These workouts use intervals of 70 seconds of work with 10 seconds of rest to fully fatigue each muscle group. Using no equipment except your own body-weight you will see how much definition and strength you can achieve in just 30 minutes and in minimal space. The pace is fast, but the moves are not complicated to follow so you can really focus on executing each one with perfect form.
Bodyweight Basics Lower 70/10 uses intervals of 70 seconds of work, followed by 10 seconds of rest for 20 rounds. This is an endurance workout with lots of lunge, squat and kick combinations. There are also some forward leaning leg raises to work your lower body from all angles. You will finish with a stretch to lengthen your muscles. To intensify this workout you can add light dumbbells or ankle weights.

I was only able to complete 13 minutes yet I was dripping in sweat!! Will have to work my way through this one. Great workout!

You'll get there! Maybe try and do it once a week at least so you build up strength in the muscle groups used. It is definitely an endurance style workout 😊

HI LINDA i am sorry but i dont speak good english to explain you i want to lose fat of my knees , what must to do? what kind of exercise? the barre workouts helped me very mutch but what else?

These body weight workouts are good for shaping your entire leg. Also, anything with resistance loops and the fit ball and small ball 😊

P.S.: I forgot to tell you that I've been avoiding doing squats and lunges because of my kneecaps. In order to strengthen the muscles that surround them, I've been doing all the exercises the kinesiologist taught me, and I feel more confident and stronger now. I'll give them a try, as I said, at the weekend. Wish me luck!

Just make sure you hinge your upper body right forward and stick your booty back - that saves your knees!

I like to go back to basics every now and then to make sure I am not getting sloppy. Great heart pumping action too. Good for all of us to know we do not have to have equipment. Great on vacation too.

Hi Linda. I love all your workouts. Question though...does doing squats and lunges without heavy weights and at high reps prevent your thighs from getting larger? Just worried I may be counteracting the results I want to achieve - leaner legs. Thanks!

You definitely won't build bulk with body weight workouts. You will still get muscle definition, but it is more like strengthening the muscle you already have rather than building more, which will increase the bulk.

No, definitely not. You will not bulk legs unless you use heavy weights 😊
