Its Christmas night 2018, I'm 65, no longer live in the north east but while the wife is watching "midwife" I'm thinking about the lads and their fabulous Christmas concerts. If you have never been then your bucket list can never be complete. During the 80's these gigs were almost compulsory! Ha'way the lads!

A great show - I was there (one of the nights at least) and somewhere i have a very frayed T shirt that can't get into any more. A great band, a truly storming live band and watching this makes me both happy and sad at the same time.

Lindisfarne often worked in new songs in their live shows and 'Living on the Baseline' was one such number. I remember being impressed by the song when I heard it at the Hammersmith Odeon Concert that year and expecting it on the next album...but it never appeared. We had to wait for 'Buried Treasures Vol. 2' in 1992 for an official release, but I do recall seeing it on this BBC broadcast. Great Rod Clements composition. Thanks for posting; I have been looking for this clip for some while.

When I was asked what my definition of 'a year' is I always answered its '12 months with Lindisfarne at each end'...such a massive part of my life :)
