I feel bad for Feodora the most.. She was treated like she was unwanted her whole life. First by her mother, then by her husband when he tossed her into a sanitarium. Plus, she never even got to have the children she so desperately wanted... That's just heartbreaking. RIP to her ❤

- For anyone wondering, the reason the German Crown Prince’s son was succeeded by his own grandson was because Louis Ferdinand’s eldest two sons married morganatically and could not transmit their rights, while Georg Friedrich’s father was killed in a military accident because he was serving in the Bundeswehr (the modern German army) - Victoria Louise was also interestingly, mostly due to her young age at the time her husband took his throne, the last surviving consort of any German monarch who reigning in 1918

Every time I think about these cousins marrying each other it makes my stomach turn and then I remember that it was custom for parents to wed their children off to someone that was their status or higher for various, sometimes illogical, reasons. They all seemed to have had some slight or deep inferior complex. Queen Victoria had so many children and grandchildren. The dating pool would have been pretty small if they had not married each other.

If I were to guess, I would presume the 6x-great grandchild would likely be somewhere in the former German royal family as Victoria's eldest child (also called Victoria) married into the German royal family. The British royal family only descends from Victoria's 2nd oldest child Edward VII.

@@ChibiProwl Checked the ancestry and unfortunately seems Felipe's kids again are 5x-great at most. Though interestingly they can trace their ancestry to Victoria in 3 different ways. Apart from the more obvious line where Princess Beatrice's daughter marries into the Spanish royal family, you also have Felipe VI's maternal grandparents Paul of Greece and Frederica. Paul's mother was Wilhelm II's sister, Frederica's mother was Wilhelm II's daughter, and Wilhelm II was the grandson of Victoria. It is through Frederica where we get the 5x-great line, the other two lines are only 4x-great.
