The Candy Floss Booby

This fly has been in my armoury for over 20 years it is without doubt the most effective fly in my stillwater boxes. It has lasted the test of time, effective all year round I tie it with different size eyes and use a variety of hook sizes. If I was told I could only use one fly for a match this would be it! This is my fly and it nearly always gets a swim during any match practice, be without it at your peril!

Hello Lindsay, Do you find this fishes best on a fast sinking line or in a clothes line set up …. so far I have found the clothes line works well for me? Atb Jim

Jim, it works well with both set ups. When using it for washing line I tend to use smaller hooks and eyes. For the deep work I prefer my eyes big.
