This little shuttlecock can be tied down to size #16 if you have the eyesight and dexterity to do so. I struggle a bit to quickly locate shuttlecocks once cast so, I like to fish them fairly close to the boat/bank/river. I would not want them any further than 20' from my peepers. On there day they are hard to beat the way they sit in the surface film with the body below the surface make them irresistible.
