I'm so tired of being here Suppressed by all my childish fears And if you have to leave I wish that you would just leave 'Cause your presence still lingers here And it won't leave me alone These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me You used to captivate me by your resonating light Now, I'm bound by the life you left behind Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real There's just too much that time cannot erase When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years But you still have all of me I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears And I held your hand through all of these years You still have all of me, me, me ;)

This is more than words can explain it carries a deep sense of elegance from the divinity and heart of the violin that Lindsey understands because she feels the heart of the instrument as well as the hard effort she puts in her true passion. I hope she keeps making music since no one carries and expresses her heart like she does!

I have listened to the original song so many times now, but a few seconds after she started playing on her violin I teared up. Such an emotional song - the piano and the violin really come together well in this one. This really is a beatiful cover of a truely wonderful song.
@pandastrat8 жыл бұрын

@dazurathefirst84568 жыл бұрын
Syvanna K eh...not to me tbh ^-^ the song just doesn't hold the same power without the vocals.
@TheCCGCollector8 жыл бұрын
The thing is, the original version (the piano/violin, non-"band" one) is already so violin-centric that I'm not sure this cover brings anything new to the table. Piano/violin/vocals is already about the most simple and emotional you can make a song, and the violin by itself can't add anything that violin and vocals together lacked.
@pandastrat8 жыл бұрын
it may not bring much novelty, sure, or add anything but it doesn't destroy the cover with vocals - because really I still have to hear to someone who can actually sing and do justice to Amy Lee's voice and interpretation. Basically, the absence of vocals just assures that the song does not get butchered. And honestly, Lindsey's violin style is unique - you don't even feel like the absence of the vocals or the lyrics is that prominent, if you get what I'm saying... Many other violin covers I've heard of this song seem more "flat", to me... The intensity of the violin here actually matches the intensity of Amy Lee's voice in many parts of the song.. But that's just my opinion :)

Even my CAT likes her music. I can be listening to any music that doesn't include violins and he'll be nowhere to be found and the moment I turn on something with violins and he comes out from where ever he is and I'll hear Toby meow and he wants to be closer to the pretty song. Violin music is catnip to him. I don't know what it is about the violin, but little Toby LOVES it. Always comes closer to hear better. Specially Lindsey's music. Appeals to both people AND pets.

Bringing a classical instrument into more modern music is an evolution. A much needed one to showcase talent above electronic. I like a wide range of music, but a lot of music now is just done digitally with pre-recorded samples. I've loved listening to dance and pop music over the years, but bringing back actual instruments and combining it with various styles is truly impressive. Then there is the dancing while playing that I imagine takes incredible precision and timing. Lindsey is one of a kind, I wish there were more musicians out there that could bring something like this to the table.

My darling Son I dedicate this to you. I chose this version from Lindsey as so many times we sang this song together, driving in the car singing out loud, how you loved this tune, little did I know then that you were singing away your pain, pain hidden behind a smile. Never again will I be able to sing this song. The words are so near to our relationship as Mother and Son. You played this song a 1000 times. I then heard all your troublesome thoughts. On these days I wiped away your tears and held your hand, but I was not able to take away your pain. You decided to go and leave us behind. Now I feel this immense pain within me. Darling I miss you and these few written words will never be able to fill the emptiness that I am now facing as you are gone, gone without return. „Cause your presence still lingers here And it won't leave me alone. These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real. There's just too much that time cannot erase“ 😭😭😭

Miss Lindsey Stirling your violin makes we feel so many emotions. When you played Hi-Lo with Evanescence the way you make your violin weep makes me weep. Simply Beautiful

Simply Devine. My soul becomes speechless with the sound that flows from that violin. My heart bleads for a heaven where that harmony flows from the rivers themselves. Stay classy ma'am

Beautiful piece, beautifully played. There is so much beautiful music in the world that I would like to listen to, but one lifetime is not enough to do it, and that makes me very sad. Thank you. ❤❤👍👍. Really amazing version. The violin in your hands doesn't play, it sings. And the sound engineer mixed it masterfully. I can hear every note of every instrument. Thank you for the beauty.
