The sound of the band with room mics is remarkably good. Nice playing too

Dude can seriously rip... Always a great idea using a player like Paul to promote something like this. Left me drooling and to hear it in a live capacity was nice.

Hi. L6 link is the best way to connect these but not the only way. It makes no difference if you use variax or a normal guitar. L2 will work fine at bedroom level just have to be careful with that volume control. Good thing is its not sensitive like a guitar amp volume pot. It works more like a Hi fi/ PA control so you have more fine control and it more likely to stay in place.
@franciscomezamusic11 жыл бұрын
in a live setting many venues don't like when you ask them to connect your pod HD500 directly to the soundboard / PA, I keep an amp with me but having the l2m would keep my tone intact, question for you: can the l2t/l2m be mic'ed like a regular amp????

What presets are you using? I totally want...I got the HD500x, but can really get good sounds out of it yet. (just got it a few days ago) any recommendations? I really like the presets you used in the very first part of the video.

Paul, In this specific video, are you using the HD500 and the L2t via the L6 Link?
@dukeofdream11 жыл бұрын
how did you do that feedback thing?You got a sustainer there or is it a feature of the pod?
@plhaar111 жыл бұрын
At 4:30 it sounds like you are doing exactly what I am stuck with. Whenever I switch the HD500 to a new preset, I always get Electric Guitar mode in the L3t. How do you set the other speaker modes into a preset?
@plhaar111 жыл бұрын
So I've got a partial solution and I hope it helps someone...the HD500 "knows" what mode the L3t (or L2t) is in. So when you're in a preset and hit the mode button on the back of the speaker, you'll get the star in the upper left hand of the Pod's display. Save the preset with the Pod's save button and you're done. Repeat for other patches. The speaker mode doesn't show up in any of the Pod menus and it doesn't seem supported through the HD Edit software either - you have to use the Pod.

Yes Luis. Exactly.

So does this thing sound full? Like a half stack, can you feel it in your chest? Does the speaker handle the power, or does it break up in a bad way? Great video..hope to see more. Thanks-

Is Line 6 going to make an FRFR under the $500 mark? This would be better due to the fact that your models sell for around $1000 currently, which makes buying a Line 6 Floorboard modelers that much harder.

Is there any more information on speaker mode, and how it works with Helix? Would you use the pa/ref mode or guitar mode for electric guitar & Helix in a live situation? Why would one be preferable? How does the L2t compare to FRFR cabs that are larger (Matrix FR12, for example, or Friedman's wedge)? Does the cab sim give the L2t everything or does the larger cabinet add something?
@TheShreddDude8 жыл бұрын
See. LINE 6's sound great.
@rambache11 жыл бұрын
I think the L2M would have been a better product for this demo, since he is not using the built in mixer that differentiates it from the L2T. He is only using the L2T as an actual guitar amp/speaker combo connecting the POD HD 500 using the Line 6 Link.
@zakklee25562 жыл бұрын
He is using the accoustic guitar body simulator, which is only available on the L2T.
@Charizti11 жыл бұрын
Well... actually it IS an amplifier. But I can see what you mean. I think that the dirty sound is very realistic, but the clean and the acoustic sounds have to improve to replace - in part, at least - good old tube amps.

HI: I HAVE A KEMPER PROFILING AMP, CAN I USE THIS SPEAKER WITH MY KEMPER AND I GOT ALL THE FEATURES OF THE SPEAKER OR ONLY FUNTION WITH POD HD 500. THANKS
@plhaar111 жыл бұрын
Javier - It will work just fine with a Kemper, exactly like any other full range PA when you put it in reference mode and leave it there. I'd probably put the Kemper into the Line-In on the back, then you've still got stereo RCA aux-in plus the two channel mixer on the side with EQ, acoustic modeling, and even chorus. The functionality is insane and even in Reference Mode side-by-side with a QSC K10 I liked the sound better in the Line6.

What's the difference between this and an amp?? Which is better?
@marcoa.cortezano521410 жыл бұрын
Well the pod hd500x is an amp modeling, so when u plug it to an amp you are changing the sound, imagine that you are using the ENGL simulation, But you are plugged into a Marshall, you are not gonna sound like ENGL and not Marshall, because the amp has a preamp section, if you use it like the way on the vídeo, the pod sounds exactly like it is supossed to do it because theres no preamp section, if you choose ENGL simulation you are gonna sound like an ENGL if yuo choose MESA then you sound like MESA (sorry my english is not good im doing my best XD hope you understand)

sounds cool i had a pod 2.0 once sounded pretty good. after a year it blew out and seeing iam a tech as well as musicican. i looked at circutry to find regulators dont use anay heat sinks wich thay are ment to. soo it was shot to trash saved up went and bought a boss me 25 and its going near 3 yrs .line 6 may sound good but built like crap thay tend to over heat and blow the micro.

You have tried both? Better how? I have an Alto TS112A that is OK for the money, but not great. Looking to upgrade.
@batmandeltaforce8 жыл бұрын
+Rocco Crocco No I have not tried both, but I bought the JBL EON 610, 25 lbs. It's stereo in to accomodate the stereo persistance of the 500X, and it's combines them to a mono XLR through to the snake or board. So the speaker just becomes your monitor. I set in next to me so I can lean into it and get the great feedback:) ONE THING THOUGH... you have to put an inline volume control between the speaker and the PA, so you can have your moinitor nice and loud but you don't have to overlaod the board input. It just allows for more option. I use this one below. I will never go back to lugging huge amps and speakers around:) Oh, it has preset EQ curves for different situations. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007LZ355E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

this is EXACTLY what I want to do but seems hard to find info about this set up. I have a gt-100. Stereo/left-right outputs into JBL speaker...run that into the PA? is that it? other than the volume control..any other tips? thanks man!! sick of lugging heavy equipment too! especially for a one or two set gig...
