I understand that Line was being overbearing on Jennifer , and I get that it was stressful . But Line does have a point . If you are competing in a cooking competition as big as MasterChef , you have to be able to use cooking equipment because you never know when you might need to use it, especially if you might have to cook in a pressure test that requires a certain piece of equipment . Jennifer definitely should have learned how to use a mandolin . And in this challenge it was about speed and productivity . In short , this conflict between Line and Jennifer was really unnecessary and could have been avoided if Line had just replaced Jennifer with another team member and had Jennifer do something else and Line was acting like more of a dictator . And another quick thing , Alvin said at 2:14 '' A peaceful kitchen is always an efficient kitchen '' . I understand where he's coming from and what he means by that , but it is ironic he said that when he's the '' Demon Chef '' . And if '' A peaceful kitchen is always an efficient kitchen '' is true , then it sounds like Alvin has never seen Gordon Ramsay or Hells Kitchen before 😅

The reason it was faster in the moment was because she was struggling with the mandolin so it would take twice as long faffing about. Just grabbing the knife and getting on with it is significantly quicker than an unknown time trying to work out a mandolin

I actually disagree, this show is about the best dishes by home cooks. Not everyone has those tools at home but they can still cook amazingly.

@@Copyrightbreaker22. Yes you are right 😊, not everyone has experience and resources available to them , but I believe it is good to learn something new , like learning how to use a mandolin . All in all , Line should have just switched Jennifer with another team member.

I would love it if they decided to make a full feature film about MasterChef Canada. I would totally watch that with excitement. I love this show. It's super underrated and not really known well. I love the judges and the contestants too. Everyone is so different and amazing.

She was in the military and to some degree she was right about not having the ability to use a mandolin. It's MasterChef Canada, but she should have just told Jen she trusts she can cut vegetables fast with a knife and let it go.

HERE’S WHAT JESUS DID FOR US: I AM NOT PERFECT, NOBODY IS- EXCEPT FOR JESUS. WHY? WELL OUR SIN, (essentially doing things that we know that are wrong (-> are against God’s will/law) ex: lying, stealing, gossiping, murder, lusting, using the Lord’s name in vain, etc (see 10 commandments for more!)) SENDS US TO HELL BECAUSE IT’S PUNISHMENT FOR DOING WRONG. A CRIMINAL-WHO WAS CAUGHT OF DOING SOMETHING HORRIBLY WRONG- SHOULDN’T BE SET FREE IF THE JUDGE IS JUST! NOW, the thing is, we are that criminal. We’ve ALL done many wrong things - I know I have - and God judges us at the end of our lives. He knows all we’ve done wrong- and since He is a good judge, He knows we deserve a punishment for it. That punishment is hell (essentially an afterlife separated from Him and it’s a place of torment for eternity- NOT GOOD!!). That may sound harsh but sending a criminal (us) to jail (hell - this case) isn’t a bad thing- it’s the just thing to do. HOWEVER, THE STORY ISN’T OVER FOR US!! WE DON’T /NEED/ TO GO TO HELL FOR WHAT WE’VE DONE, HERE’S THE GOOD NEWS!! JESUS NEVER SINNED. HE INSTEAD TOOK OUR PUNISHMENT (of having to go to hell) UPON HIMSELF ON THE CROSS, SO IF WE BELIEVE THAT HE DIED FOR US AND REPENT (MAKE THE DECISION TO TURN AWAY FROM SIN) WE DON’T HAVE TO GO TO HELL. WHY? Take the criminal scenario again: in most cases, bailing someone out of their punishment (typically through a form of payment) is possible. (Where someone doesn’t have to go through and serve their punishment in jail or other options). Jesus, didn’t sin + was 100% Human AND 100% God, bailed us out of our punishment by taking it upon Himself on the cross. HE TOOK OUR PUNISHMENT FOR US. THATS HOW MUCH GOD LOVES YOU! SO IF YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS AND REPENT (TURN AWAY FROM SIN), YOU DONT NEED TO GO TO HELL!! PRAISE THE LORD. JOHN 3:16
