I used to work for a dealer in Houston and we used wire tape and paper to cover all around the frame on the bed and we remove the tailgate on a custom stand to get perfect coverage plus NO OVERSPRAY. This video isint bad, hes just upset with 1 dealer and that sometimes makes us all look bad...

Should have brought it to their attention. I'm sure the Line-X outlet would have either compensated you or got you a new bolt. I bet they'd be more than happy to restore the bolt mark too in the liner. Same with the tire, although I bet just driving on that tire will make it come off.

Definitely do prep before you have it sprayed...Make sure things are either removed like the spare tire and tie down caps, wiring, masked off, and of course cleaned, leave them with as little margin of error as possible.

Paul Rodrigues Self Threading Bolt is the term you’re looking for. Actually it’s a semi self threading bolt because the boss has threads but loaded with heavy zinc coating and requires semi self threading bolt to clear threaded path of boss. Once bolt is torque both coatings on threaded boss and bolt will seal completely allowing maximum rust protection. Sounds kinda odd but that’s how it works.

They are supposed to take the bed off the truck, when they spray it on. Buddy of mine had bottom/underside of his done. So he had protection inside the bed liner and the underside as well. Looked good.

Lol. Illinois. I’d talk to the guys before the work begins and be real specific how you want it done. Make sure they sand/scuff your metal bed well before they spray. And also go over where you don’t want linex’ed. Overall, I’m very satisfied with linex.

Line x in my opinion did not mess your truck up. The people that applied it did. You should of taken your truck back and have them fix the bolt and the connector. And replace your tire. And called line x and complained

You called that ruined! I had my rockers done in LineX at the Ottawa,Ontario location and was able to peel them in sheets. Plus once I had it redone at another location they oversprayed it all over the place and had to clay bar my whole truck. LineX is good stuff its just the installers who are incompetent. In your case I wouldn't stress about it

Jassel Alcala Average Line-X spray on bed liner cost $450+. Personally I would have returned to the place business and ask to fix it correctly. If not everyone would know about their mistake and I would cost them as many future customers as possible. The technician that installed the bolt knew it was cross threaded when they hammered on it with an impact air wrench. This was not a simple mishap only extremely poor quality work which others should be aware of.
