LineageOS ROM install guide with Google Apps

*This was done on the OnePlus 7T Pro, but will work in a similar way for all devices
*Usual disclaimer - Use ROMs at your own risk, keep backups, I'm sorry if your device gets bricked*
LineageOS has been around for quite a long time, so I wanted to at least give it a go and know how things compare. This installation is a fairly basic Recovery and does get used in other ROMs too.

I am happy I found a few Roms to actually work on Visible. DerpFest works great. Also I'm running happily Pixel Experience 13 on 7t. it was a convert from Tmo to global. Love it. might even root but I truly miss old days of Twrp. used to love saving my stock set up and ROM and boot between them whenever with last used screen and all saved. haha. Oh well. This runs as good as my pixel 4xl. both identical now aside from Camera. The Gcam I have needs xml yet

Today i have installed lineage 20 in OnePlus 7 . So far working nice. Camera is not so good. Draining battery. Volume is not so good. Rest is perfect

ah iv been lookin for a custom rom file for a Samsung galaxy TAB A SM-T357W I have been lookin for awhile now and have not found any yet I was hoping you or some developer of lineage OS. can create a custom rom file that I can install to my tablet through ODIN software or even through platform tools.

Thanks, it's a great device, peak OnePlus Unfortunately PixelPlusUI is only on the 7Pro, and not the 7TPro It does look good though, and already has an Android 13 build

A13 in the first phase of stable builds, so A12 is more stable i think. And there is no major difference between them

Yep, would go stability over version I do appreciate some of the A13 changes though, and love that there are so many ROMs of it available for the 7 series

I prefer Flamingo over Pixel Experience, but I've yet to try PE 13

Pixel Experience is another excellent gateway ROM as they have great documentation. My favourite currently is Flamingo as it has a good mix of features, supports the OnePlus stuff and has good performance/battery life

I'm on board with Material You too, both PE and Flamingo will provide that I'm unsure if PE does the adaptive theme from your wallpaper (yet to try PE13), Flamingo didn't but it did let me select any colour to set as a theme. Overall both look and feel basically the same though, main difference is extra gestures and features they each include.

Yep, understandable - it's a bit of a coin flip unfortunately Both seem to be pretty well supported currently but it always does rely on a few individuals contributing to keep it going. With A13, they both have already exceeded my expectations though, I wonder if they will keep going for A14

Hi, I need your help, I made the update to Android 12 on my OnePlus 7 Pro, I wanted to reinstall the twrp recovery but when I try to start it at the first installation step, the smartphone gets stuck on the fastboot mode logo. what is the problem? P.S. Sorry for my bad english. I'm italian boy 👻

@@FilthyCasualTech hi, thanks for answering me, I can get out of stuck fastboot by holding vol + and power on and the smartphone turns off and then I turn it back on and everything is normal! I also tried with another pc but I always have the same problem

I also checked that the twrp version is the right one for android 12 but nothing to do. i need twrp to reinstall root permissions. Isn't there another way to reinstall them without custom recovery?

Does the lineage recovery work? Or are you not running lineage at all?

​@@FilthyCasualTech nope, I use the stock rom. It works the same if I try to put the lineage recovery with stock rom? UPDATE: I try to install orangefox recovery and i have the same problem! What could be the problem ? P.S. the error reported is the following: target reported max download size of 805306368 bytes sending 'recovery' (56616 KB)... OKAY [ 1.311s] writing 'recovery'... FAILED (remote: (recovery_a) No such partition) finished. total time: 1.320s and if I continue by entering the command fastboot boot "recovery" .img the smartphone goes into stuck fastboot, as I wrote you in the first comments.

Pixel experience and dotOS is still way better lineageOS is just garbage compared to the other 2

They dont have the stability of lineageOS. Also it allows you to not use google services and apps (can replace most of the with microG) which is a massive privacy gain
