Our GP has been holding down the fort against coyotes this last few weeks. There hadnt been any coyotes for awhile and now thry just started showing up again. She barks and lets us know. We have hot wire top and bottom and she respects the fence. If the coyotes were to jump in with her, she would definitely go after them.

Sounds like a good dog. We usually have no problems with our GP. Honestly, the males don’t seem to wander very much even without a fence. The females on the other hand….

Our female doesnt try hard to get out but if someone leaves the gate open she will surely take the opportunity to run out and explore and go check out the ponds and woods behind us to see whats out there.She usually comes back when we call her lol.

just got a 9 month old, she's still pretty shy and doesn't move on a leash 🤣 dunno if you have any info i could look into for training? but ya they bark a lot 🤣

We actually don’t do a whole lot of training with our dogs with the exception of familiarization. We try to expose our dogs to our livestock at a very early age. This seems to “turn off” their desire to go after certain animals, specifically fowl and our barn cats.

Yes. The ones that don’t sell immediately (which will be most) will intern with our adults.
