Some Li-Ning related story from racquet market in Indonesia. The war in budget racquet section (Below IDR 500K) is intense in here, Li-Ning used to be the king of budget because of their "high-end feeling" racquet, featuring high tension, 4U-3U weight, and head heaviness with a lot of option such as Armour, Turbo X, or Super Series unlike Yonex who doesnt provide those feeling. However with some new racquet brand in the market such as Maxbolt, Felet (Used by GVS), Reinforce Speed, Flypower, Hi-Qua etc, the competition became even fiercer, because the quality of those brand were on par with Li-Ning budget racquet and they offer more value with free high end string (usually BG66UM or EXB65)+stringing, free shirt and free bag even though I have to admit these racquet is usually only available on 3rd party stores. So currently Li-Ning went to split themselves and have a child company called Hndrd and they will compete in the budget racquet section and Li-Ning head on take Yonex with tiering their line up. I've held those racquets in hand and some were feeling like a copy of Turbocharging and Windstorm but priced below IDR500K with lots of freebies while the entry level for the series of both were around IDR800K but only free string. But tbh I never thought you will review these budget racquet. Loved it!

Nice review, as always, but I'm not sure how helpful it is when the manufacturing tolerances are so wide. When they say "80±5g / 300±5mm", that covers everything from a head-heavy 3U (85g 305mm) to an even balance 5U (75g 295mm), so there's no guarantee that the racket someone buys will feel even remotely similar to the one you reviewed. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on the Tectonic 7 though (the handful of reviews that exist all seem to say the same kind of thing, which doesn't really match my own experience since buying one).
@CKYew2 жыл бұрын
Entry level rackets will have much wider manufacturing tolerances. Higher end rackets are generally more consistent 👍🏼👍🏼👌

@michaelkoerli38152 жыл бұрын
Remove the original grip to make balance shift towards the head. Use add on weight that you can put at 12, 9 and 3 o’clock called power tape sticker or lead sticker or racket sticker weight ( replace when restringing ). This 3rd method is not recommended but some people do sandpaper the actual wooden grip to make it thinner and hence head heavy. Or just buy another racket :)
