Totally agree with you regarding the timing issue with the Axeforce 80. Even after 10 hours of playtime with it, I still occasionally flopped on timing for relatively easy shots like a lob. My suspicion is its sweet spot is actually smaller than we think it is and it punishes off-centered shots rather harshly. It's odd that Chen Long would switch to this racket from his N55, because they are quite different in many aspects.

The tectonic series are lining's most easy to use high end rackets. Tectonic 7 and tectonic 9 are incredibly easy to use by beginner/intermediate player. While aeronaut series (especially 7000-9000 aeronaut) are one of the hardest lining racket to use.

That's pretty interesting. My friend owns a Tectonic 9 3U and a Aeronaut 900C 3U(I play with a 88D pro), I've used both and found that the Aeronaut more user friendly and most similar to my 88D pro. Depending on how the Arcsaber 11 Pro turns out(used to use a Arc 10, but disliked the Arc 11), I might get an Aeronaut 9000C as a backup racket.

Nice review mate. Really liked your roundups on Yonex' lineup but haven't been really interested in these rackets so I didn't comment until now^^ On a sidenote, isn't it a bit unfair to compare 4U rackets with a 3U racket? ;D I actually have all three of these rackets in 3U and I just wanted to share some info/personal experiences on these rackets (obviously dependent on personal preferences): 1. AXF80: Loved that from the first second and did not struggle with the timing at all. I am certain being used to Yonex' stiffer shafts made adjusting way harder for you than for me who has been using rather flexible LN rackets for years now. 2. Tectonic 9: Had a hard time on the contrary adjusting to this one, just not used to that stiffness... It is actually 2g heavier than the AXF80 and carries way more headweight (more than any other racket I own including other headheavy options such as the Tectonic 7C, N55 or N90-2 despite having a lower Balance Point). It was the slowest of this trio imo but the stiffness is probably the closest the current LN range of rackets comes to Yonex^^ 3. Aeronaut 9000C: Having measured all 3 rackets with pretty much the same grip setup, this one is even heavier than the Tectonic 9 is second in line when it comes to headweight, beating the afformentioned (probably due to the general weight and the added bulk of the Airstream system). If you keep the crazy headweight and overall weight in mind, I would say this racket actually is quite fast and beats out both the AXF80 and T9 in 3U (I guess the Airstream system does its job there, but hard to tell without having a 9000C without the Airstream vents for direct comparison). Also, these square grommets can be bought from Asia. If I recall correctly, they should be (or at least were) available to purchase via the e1981 or shopnings website (have ordered several times from both and both are highly reliable). You probably won't even need to buy these square grommets any time soon, as they are really high quality and last for ages^^ Keep up the good work and I hope to see some more LN stuff (maybe shoes too?) in the future💪

lining sells the gommets in a box which contains the round as well as square grommets. in either box of red or black. only downside of square grommets is needs to changed more often wtih stringing as you can only rotate it once when restring. where as for round grommets it can be rotated for up to 4 times if you one really dislike changing the grommets.

thanks for the great reviews CK! it is the AXForce 80 for me. playing with it for about 8 months. i have both 4U and 5U and I play well with the 5U and it is also my preferred choice I noticed that the high end models comes along with the 5U recently firstly i think the mass market likes the 5U version, and personally I dont think there is any loss of power this 5U racket generates one of the fastest swing (for me), and good smashes the sound of hitting the sweet spot is incredible and addictive but it is all about personal suitability and the like factor current players using the AXForce 80 : Chen Long, Yuta Watanabe, Srikanth Kidambi and Pusarla Venkata Sindhu cheers !

FYI, the AXFORCE 80 you review is not what Chen Long use. The Chen Long use are 3U, more stiffer shaft. For AXFORCE 80 series, Lining made 3U,4U,5U with medium flexible shaft dan 3U with stiff shaft. I guest Lining made the medium flexible version so a lot of people can easily use the racket.

@@CKYew I got my arm injured using a super flexy shaft. I m a player with very short punchy stroke. On low power hits and long strokes flexy shaft aids power generation and control. It was very comfortable to play with but once I go into more high power shots it seems the racquet absorbs some of my wrist and arm output and forces me to literally hit harder and harder causing the injury.

Nice review, 9000c vs 88d vs 100zz review would be great! I have the 9000i (and 88d) and besides the weight it's quite comparable with 88d (2nd gen). Though 5u, it has chonky head heaviness to it ~315-320mm which helps with the racket speed. Stick smashes are deadly and very easy to creat massive angles. I found ultimate power is lacking but anything that's below 80% power is on point. Being very honest, I find giving 88d 110% and on target is quite hard to get consistently because the flex. The 9000i is more solid than the 88d which I prefer. If there was a stiffer version of the 88d or 4u version of 9000i (possibly the 9000c?? ) would probably be my ideal preference. PS don't forget you can string these to 30lbs! Paint on it is much much more durable than yonex!
@JLneonhug2 жыл бұрын
Going to go full geek now since I'm starting it, the 88d has (my opinion) non linear flex, there is a step in the shaft and different flex in the head. I can't quite tell what this is but as you increase power the timing changes. I find it unstable or harder to snap at shots 'freely', really need to think about it beforehand. Obviously it is me not used to the racket but a year on I can still feel there is a learning curve to this flex.

My main racket just broke yesterday and now in the market for a new on. Video came at a good time as I've always tended to lean towards yonex however this time round I'm going to purchase either babolat/ashaway/lining/Victor to see if they're intermediate rackets have better value for money

The Tectonic 9 and Axforce 80 don't come with Combat, Drive, Boost, and Instinct. Li-Ning has changed their newest series line up into 3U, 4U, and 5U model, which each have a different Balance Point and Shaft Stiffness Rate. Balance Point: 5U>4U>3U Shaft Stiffness: 3U>4U>5U

If i want all out attacking play style inclusive of smashing, should i change from 100zz to tectonic 9?
@indraraditia93732 жыл бұрын
@@Coconutballsack Maybe, because Tectonic 9 is comparable to Astrox 99Pro (more to single racket). Still, 100zz already great for smashes (can be use for double too).

hey CK, I was wondering how does Axforce 80 compare to 99 Pro? Assume it's a 4U racquet for a single player as well as rear court double player.
@CKYew2 жыл бұрын
Its a completely different racket. The 80 is nowhere near head heavy as the 99 Pro and is a lot faster but also felt less stable than the 99 Pro

Can you compare all these rackets and put the in a series. That will be one hell of a video. Love from India

@CKYew I think I speak for all if you do a 'similar rackets' video across the brands 'Yonex', 'Victor' and 'Lining'. For example which Lining/ Victor racket is most similar to Astrox 100zz and which Yonex/ Lining racket is similar to Victor Thruster Ryuga, with key differences and your opinion on which one is better?

Yess CK, great review mate. Been waiting for this. Your reviews are pretty much spot on to what I was saying before. Now that I've used the Axforce 80 for over a week I've gotten used to it and overall the Axforce 80 has now taken my number 1 spot over my long time regular match racket the 9000C. The Tectonic I find a bit sluggish but that's probably because it's a little heavy for doubles. I use the 9000C in 3U but the Tectonic in 3U definitely feels more sluggish for me. Top stuff mate. Looking forward to the Arc 11 pro now.

halo CK. Can you review more Lining rackets? I tried some of thems and just forgot other brands immediately. The problem is that I would like to have at least 3 same types of rackets and I still cannot decide which I would like the most. I own CL80 (4U) and Calibar 900. How would you compare those rackets with Calibar 900C, Aeronaut 9000C, and Tectonic 9? I am an attacking single player (if Tectonic 9 would be 3U or 4U). Yes, which one would you personally choose from the above models? THnaks Keep up the excellent reviews
