Quickfire bow actually has a lot of priority and can cancel out many projectiles, save the stronger blasts, and pierces through enemies. Good for stuffing defenses, but it fires completely straight. And don't knock on Giant Bomb's hitbox. It can reach the platform on battlefield and can span about the same length of said platform. Other bombs can also be detonated by the Giant Bomb, increasing the size.

⁠@@sonicboom126i don’t think that’s a fair comparison. Clones would take far less development time than custom moves realistically. Not to mention characters like Richter and Dark Samus do still have lots of fans so their inclusion will always be a plus.

@@dey6942 I think the comparison is quite fair since adding new custom moves adds various new ways to play and in a sense being a new character vs Clone characters that are merely just pallet swamps of an original characters with the only major difference be taunts idles, voice, victory poses. We didn't "get" Richter, we got what is essentially the same thing as Olimar and Louie or Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings.

I don’t know how the meta would’ve panned out if custom moves were allowed in competitive Smash, but here’s my guess as to the ideal Link moveset: Neutral: Hero’s Bow Side: Ripping Boomerang Up: Spin Attack Down: This one depends on your priorities and can easily be swapped out, but Meteor Bomb seems better for offense, but Bomb can be used for recovery. I’m going to go with Meteor Bomb, but it’s close. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

I remember when Power Bow was bugged on the launch version of SSB 3Ds where the charge time was the same as the normal bow, so you could spam very powerful shots very easily.

Honestly they should have made one of his custom down specials be the bomb chu. Although to be fair if the bomb chu was an item in Smash 4 which I don't remember whether it was or was not then I guess that would be a problem.

Meteor bomb was kinda crack. Peach and Daisy in Ultimate can do a similar thing in Ultimate. If they pluck a bob-omb and chuck it downwards at an opponent. It will meteor them. It’s kinda like a successor that’s stronger, but much harder to get since it has such low percents of coming out. There’s also much better options. The spike on the Bob-omb is purely just for disrespect. Overall, Link’s meteor bomb was much more useful.

Honestly I feel like if we do get another Smash Bros game if we got custom moves but for specific characters that would make sense like Mario, Luigi, the Links, Inklings etc etc much like how only the Mii characters still has their moves, i think it would make sense if the characters got even more like maybe an hammer bro and boomerang for Mario’s neutral or ice balls and golden flower attacks for Luigi’s neutral just for an example
