It’s cool to see someone get this song for what it is, this is definitely the one that got most of the ‘this isn’t LP’ hate but as you say the idea and core of the song is still Linkin Park and I think it was important to just let Emily take control for a song. Should also say she hits that note right near the end effortlessly live, she’s a special talent for sure.

I need them to do this acoustic someday 🔥

@@UnfilteredReactions oh definitely, not sure if you’ve checked out any dead sara but everything they’ve done acoustic has been on repeat for me since finding out about Emily, something about her raw voice just hits. I’m hoping for an acoustic album from LP in the future, Lost and My December sound incredible live.

Mike mentions in interviews that this song had a lot of iterations. It was just him singing at first, then him and Emily, and finally they decided to just give it all to Emily and show her range.

I'm little bit surprised no one mentioned it yet, but Emily performs this song live with guitar 😊

Like acoustic?
@GreenFuryFM6 күн бұрын
@UnfilteredReactions no no.. like the whole band play as usual + Emily plays on guitar (I guess instead of Mike). But talking about acoustic.. They play quite regularly My December and it's beautiful 🥹

Han directed this video it was his concept. On the album itself at the end you hear mike talking to emily telling her to get her screamy pants on.. ( for Casualty). This is the only song I find on the album that actually benefits by watching the music video. It's really good without the video but the video gives all that heavy context for the story within the song.

Emily got you to make the stank face at the end! This song is an absolute vocal clinic!

This song is stupid good. The lyrics are brilliant. The structure of the song is different and has quite a bit of nuance. The chorus changes each time in subtle but meaningful ways. I think the instrumentals and audio mixing is well done and really shows off the absolutely stunning vocals of Emily. I still don't think I have watched a reaction or analysis video yet where the nuance of Emily's tones and inflections are really appreciated. And maybe only person mentioned that last note she hits, though I did see you raise your eyebrows.

I love this album so much and I felt like I was the only one that truly loved this song when it dropped. It's so good. I hope you like it

Unpoular opinion - this one is my favourite from the album. Kinda grew out of the rap-metal stuff. And hope they push for more of this. And stuff like The Emptiness Machine, Casualty etc. No rapping - just Mike and Emily singing. This one here sounds like as if it was written by Mark Hoppus around 2005 - the +44 era(That album was phenomenal btw). If they give her more space to fully use all of her skills.. oh boy. Not only the Chester stuff (which she forces to sound like him for the sake of the nostalgic audience i think, eventhough she has a natural Cobain rasp that sounds way better). The posibilities with a singer skilled like Emily are endless. The future is bright for this band - hope they do not fumble it. Nostalgia is a hellova drug and can hinder creativity.

This somg was originally performed only by mike before Emily came along... they had her sing it and re-tuned the song to her voice instead of Mikes.

Shinoda's on backing vocals and harmony on this track. If you listen carefully, you can hear him sometimes, but he's subtle as all hell.

I was thinking about that this morning, man fuck depression shit took Chester away from us. Emily is great, but imagine if Chester never ended his life. That 7 years gap we could of has so many more Linkin Park albums by now😢😢😢😢

@KristenBouwer Oh wow, that would have been incredible! I miss him. These days, I find it hard to listen to most of their albums without getting emotional. They created some of the most iconic music. What’s your favourite Linkin Park song?
@KristenBouwerАй бұрын
@@Bobbythebuilder789 Of the old ones that Chester does it's powerless & Bleed it out and of the old that Emily does Waiting for the end (which is actually her favourite song from the older songs read one of the interviews they did) & My December. New album I can't pick one rn it's just such a solid album.
