That “Shadow Link” being a Stalfos is actually very fitting considering that the Hero’s Shade is a Stalfos who’s ALSO the Hero of Time. It’s almost like Link is facing his future self.

Actually given that Ganon is supposed to be like 7' 6" according to Hyrule Historia, and in BOTW a gerudo woman is crying because her boyfriend said she was "too tall" and she responded with she's only 8 feet, this implies that 8 feet is short for a gerudo. So canonically, Ganon is VERY short for a gerudo. It is entirely possible he wanted the Triforce to make himself taller.

btw, about the "A Link to the Past" randomizer, the creator of the randomizer mod for Sonic Adventure 2, has said that the A Link to the Past randomizer, is what inspired him to create the Sonic Adventure 2 randomizer mood.
