This is not N64 randomizer, it is the PC port randomizer, which is a project relatively young, so features takes time to de velop (even tho in 8 months the work as b een astonishing)

Gotta say I appreciated the editing in this video. Far too many randomiser videos just focus on the big moments and lose the plot a bit, but this one still showed a bunch of dud item checks, and even though they were only up momentarily I felt like it kept the thing cohesive :)

@@Skew0443 built it a year ago, R7 5800x and 3070ti. The monitor is 165hz, but I like to just keep everything at 120fps to save on energy since I really can't tell the difference from 120 to 165 (the port also recommends going in 20fps increments for better results).

The thing about wanting ports like this on Switch... Ship of Harkinian HAS a Switch version. It is 100% capable of running this well on Switch, you just have to be able to mod your Switch.

Now, Nayru's Love isn't COMPLETLY useless. If you have the Master Quest version of Water Temple (which IDK if it is available on the PC port, but is definitely available for the Wii VC rando), the room leading to the boss door has the metal spikes moving extremely fast, and the intended way to get past is a Hookshot target you can only hit with Longshot. However, you can alternatively use Nayru's Love to climb the slope, as it very specifically negates the knockback from that type of moving spikes in addition to negating the damage of any hit. The only other thing to note is that the moving spikes can ALSO be frozen with Ice Arrows, which is ALSO the only use of conventional Ice Arrows, making that single room in Master Quest the only place two whole items have a use in rando, and it is for the same thing, and can also be bypassed with Longshot, which is required or reccomended for checks in several other Master Quest dungeons.

I'm an aspiring OoT Speedrunner. I did an 80 stream early January practicing tricks and doing a 100 Skulltula full randomizer run and I've continued to practice more things as I go. 10:38, oh, i discovered that you can get up those vines really fast with the Hookshot! that works on several other climbable walls, too! i once decided i wanted to see if anything special happened if you shot the Dragon boss, Volvagia, with Ice Arrows... the Testing ground requires the Longshot, so i had to do the Water temple FIRST... nope, nothing special.

have to question where your file comes from and the randomizer used. Also, if it says one in stock in the store, particularly in relation to bombchus, you can buy the limited stock without needing the bombbag, as it was a chest item. Also, nyaru's love is actually a great spell against 2 kind of enemies in particular, the skeletons with sword and shield, and the big axe guys in the spirit temple/ganon's castle. both of these are dangerous damage unless you get crazy heart containers before running into them due to randomizer.

linkus freaking out over water temple the whole time is really funny because its one of the easiest dungeons in rando, because you can just enter the boss room almost immediately after entering the dungeon

Look...I also got stuck in Water Temple when I was like...10 years old! But it is not that hard, specially if you can map the iron boots to a regular button, which was the most annoying aspect of playing it regularly. I think you only need like two cycles of low-middle-top water level to 100% complete it. It is a cool dungeon
