Avery Mcguire I've never played the sax. I've heard it is a little harder to play than the average clarinet though. For someone having a lot of experience with the saxophone, going to play the clarinet, it would probably take about a year, maybe 2 if you are a little slower paced. The clarinet isn't very hard, I don't know if there is the break on the saxophone, but it is a little hard to slur, and tongue over the break sometimes. Other than that, I'd say that the clarinet is just the smaller, easier saxophone.

This is amazing! I've played the clarinet on and off for several years but never knew it was possible to make a "scream" or squeak useful for a piece of music :0 Very nice job! Question: Do you have any tips for hitting the high notes strongly and consistently? My mouth seems to cramp up and go dry, so my high notes eventually end up as sad wheezes.
@shonhayashi8 жыл бұрын
+Julie Weslager Thank you! As for high notes, support your air from the diaphragm and keep the pressure up to ensure a fast air stream. Tongue should be raised, and embouchure firm without biting. Practice with long tones. That's about everything!
@TheClarinetBro7 жыл бұрын
That's not a screech, it's just a weird dissonant chord.

I've been playing the clarinet for about 5 years, I'm currently 13, I really wanted to look for this piece on the clarinet, I thought it would be really hard to find the clarinet part since it's not a very popular instrument among all the instruments, so I thank you very much for the music, and awesome piece! ^_^
@adriennewilson71929 жыл бұрын
As a bflat clarinet player I JUST LOVE, how you can play so beautifully. QwQ most people prefer flutes, violins, and piano's over the sound of the clarinet. But to me it is just so amazing to see someone play so well QnQ i'm nowhere near your level of absolute PERFECTION. You're so incredible I just hope I can play the tiniest bit in your skill. I'm no ;longer in band but I still find time to play bits and pieces on my clarinet, but sheet music is so expensive that I just adore the fact that you take the time to transcribe the notes. QwQ thank you for keeping my passion alive

ShonHayashi Please do. Also thank you for this arrangement, I am going to start learning this tomorrow. I really enjoy learning all the transcriptions you make, especially the 5/5 difficulty ones, cause those are always the fun ones to learn. Why did the band scrap Molly on the Shore? It is such a great piece, and fun for play *Except for the 1st Clarinet player, who is struggling to breath.*
