Thank you for this beautiful video. In 2016 while in the UK, one early morning we heard the most exquisite birdsong I’d ever heard in my life. The song seemed to be pure joy with an unpredictable combination of registers, trills and whistles. I’ve longed to hear it again. After searching thru many videos, I think maybe now that is was a linnet esp since you said the linnet is like a jazz singer who seems to be making it up as it goes! Thank you!

What a wonderful video to come along as I bundle up on a sub-zero night in the Wisconsin North Woods. Very interesting info about the singing, and such on-target commentary about the social benefit of walking amidst that landscape and its avian denizens. Thanks Maurice!
