Thank you for this beautiful video. In 2016 while in the UK, one early morning we heard the most exquisite birdsong I’d ever heard in my life. The song seemed to be pure joy with an unpredictable combination of registers, trills and whistles. I’ve longed to hear it again. After searching thru many videos, I think maybe now that is was a linnet esp since you said the linnet is like a jazz singer who seems to be making it up as it goes! Thank you!

A fledgling sparrow is dependent in being fed. I think it's parent fell thru a drain grill and died as thus baby is just sitting there. I'm throwing out foid but it just sits there sticking it's head in the grate/grill. I'm afraid it will fall in. I can't see if it's parent is at bottom of drain. Will all the other sparrows take over to feed it? I also found a dead sparrow on the grass. I wonder if that's what sparrow is looking for. Shoukd I pick up the dead bird and put it near the drain? So the baby can mourn it's death?

We have one that comes over to our garden every day and plays on a small branch just by the back door. Sometimes he looks in at us, sings then carries on jumping around. They’re so cute.

4:13 what about the fledglings in the background, aren't they making a "feed me" call? Maybe it's in response to that?

Jim Carry had it wrong in the movie Dumb & Dumber, the most annoying sound in the world goes to this tiny little cute bird, i have heard car alarms that are more melodic than this noisy little thing. :/

I recently found a very young sparrow in my garden. I am currently feeding her meal worms. She has grown so much so quickly. I am going to introduce seeds soon. How do i release her when she is flying well. Will she be able to feed herself.
