@@georger5558 it was probably just about as good as it gets considering the amount of time they had to set up and the conditions of the hall. the mics they were using are some of the better options for lack of echo (it's an event hall, the acoustics are purposely built to have echo so that the sound will travel better so that all audience/attendees will hear the speakers) without sacrificing quality. consider the fact that Dan's mic (pretty generic stage mic) sounded pretty bad while the mics Linus and Luke were using had far better quality. i personally didn't have a problem with the sound quality at all, even wearing headphones. and i didn't use cheapo headphones.

The thing in the beginning about fire insurance is 100% true. During the creek fire and right before, insurance companies cut everyone’s insurance due to fire hazard… left everyone with no house and no insurance to rebuild

Yeah, have heard similar about Florida with flood insurances, albeit not quite as egregiously done as has been done in Cali. The other aspect is the whole ' act of god ' exclusions, but that's another story.

​@@ziljaeyan1203The problem is government regulations, the insurance companies are prohibited from raising rates to adequately cover the risk so the only option is to refuse to renew the policy. It's like prohibiting auto insurance from raising the rates of someone who crashed into a Lambo while drunk and live streaming. And yes, there's limits on auto insurance rate increases as well and people get dropped all the time.

To me it should be a mix. Like the labs give you a great option to dig into the graphs of say a pair of earbuds. But my sound profile and yours won't match. But if I have a friend who says they are good, owns a pair, and had good reasons. I don't see a thing wrong with that. It's about to me looking at various sources of information and raking in as much as you can.

I just think it's still going to have that, like you say with subjective tests. But even with objective tests, my understanding is that for earbuds, they use the average man as reference point. Which is the fairest way, but I might not hear and probably don't hear exactly like the average person. So the data says these are the best for the average person, that would be objectively true. But it might not be good for me, I still would like feedback from other varied sources like friends etc

Can confirm glitter is impossible to get rid of. I bought an NHL Champs t-shirt (Colorado Avs) and the picture of the cup was filled with glitter 'glued' onto it. Washed it with a full load of laundry.... There was glitter in the house for a year.

If the sound is going to be the same please no. Did they really use a camera mic or condenser mic placed in the center of the auditorium??? Luke and Linus are already miced up, just put a crowd mic and you have much better audio for the livestream

@@Andrew110 that’s clear. But it’s also clear we didn’t get the signal from those mics in the stream. Maybe luke’s, but we only hear Linus through the PA system through another mic. Likely on the camera or a crowd mic that was placed poorly. It’s like recording a concert with a phone.

I never in any way of looking at it would prefer the idea of thier images being take and catalogued. If they see something it will be my job talk to them. "X" as a "cool" symbol is even older; in 1995 I worked for "MatriX Publishing Network"; yes we capitalised the X. We were an early web publisher in the UK (VNU branching from print to the early web). So that's 28 years ago. The founder was a NeXT fan, which is why he did it.

Loved LTX this year, sad I couldn't do Sunday as well because I still missed out on stuff. The lines were sooo long, it was packed, I already mentioned to a few staff but I think LTX needs 3 days and more space! Hopefully next year is even better, because I'm already planning to come for the whole thing.

i'd like to know how many Whales , Orcas and Dolphins there were at LTX. and some of the best LAN setups! the Steam games looked like a blast! (I even downloaded a few of them)
