I should point out that not all ROG boards have these features. I've recently experienced immense frustration because my Asus ROG board does not have post code readout NOR does it have USB BIOS Flashback. I have a bricked board because of a failed BIOS update. It is frankly unacceptable for a "premium" motherboard to not have some sort of Flashback option. My board from 2012 has it, but not my board from 2018-ish. A bunch of other board makers have Flashback even on their lower end stuff. I'm probably done with ASUS until every board they make has at least Flashback.

AMD deserves all love and respect because it is working for improving the whole industry, not just selling more. It is the only company bringing competition and evolution to both CPUs and GPUs, forcing everyone to get better. And now, they are not using the Smart Access memory feature to force other people to go all AMD. Instead, they are working with Intel and Nvidia for compatibility. I wish all companies were like AMD. For extremely good GPU thermals you could remove the shroud and stock fans from the GPU so it's just the heatsink and install 2x 120mm fans to the bottom of the chasse so it's wedged in between the GPU heatsink and the bottom of the chasse. The fans would be sucking in fresh air through the bottom of the case cooling your GPU as a replacement for the stock fans and shroud. This mod gives incredible thermals and it looks like the GPU is low enough to the bottom of the case for this to be possible. Optimum Tech did a video on this and it was really awesome. Just a cool idea.

QBX modders could tell you that you need to remove the stock feet for good thermals in this case

Yeah you COULD do that, and maybe it would look cool? But you'd lose the stock AMD cooler aesthetic with the logo and LED. And, the thermals could just as easily be improved by changing the fan profile. They're set to spin VERY slowly out of the box, so for a slight noise increase they can actually cool much better. But, if you really want better thermals, and potentially better looks too (subjective), you could choose an aftermarket GPU I'm sure, it is Origin after all. Most if not all of the aftermarket cards have better thermals, sometimes significantly so, than the stock AMD cooler, even though it's not half bad this gen.

I know Intel and Nvidia have been talking about supporting it on their older products ever since AMD started marketing it, but I'm not sure if they've actually done it yet. Either way, props to AMD for finally getting the industry to open up this feature to consumers You can also verify that it's enabled and working by going into windows device manager, viewing the properties for your graphics card, and looking at the values for "large memory range" under the Resources tab. If it's working, you'll see an address range equal to the amount of vram you have. If it's not working, you'll either see 256mb worth of addresses, or "large memory range" just won't show up at all.

The chance to kill anything with a static energy is like 1% max or less. I watch tests for it. Actually it's good in budget CPUS. ryzen 5 3600 was hardly 2% faster than i5 10400f and i5 + H410 mobo: rs. 13500 + 6200 rs vs Ryzen 5 3600: rs. 19500 + 8500 rs I'm glad it exists, AMD must make ryzen 5 3600 cheaper as same as i5

It sucks they even advertise for them when their stuff is all way overpriced even for prebuilts. Their cheapest desktop is $1600 for a 10400, 16gb ram, 250gbssd, and gtx 1660ti lol. I have seen some 3070 10700k desktops cheaper
