I managed to swipe one on eBay for £100 when I built my current rig and I love it. It actually came included with the cover piece for the PSU shroud which massively cleaned up the motherboard side and it was really easy for my first proper tower build, everything went in almost without a hitch (SATA cables were a bit of a squeeze though; I needed 2 harnesses to power my multiple drives and the lighting). I actually quite like the extra space, makes it seem not too cramped in there and I can easily visualise how I could set up a custom watercooling loop if I ever went down that way

I went with the 500D SE. The filters are easy to remove, no need to remove the glass pane. The cable mess at the bottom is also hidden, although I would have prefered to have an optional full length cover. It could have been useful to hide the extra cable lengths, fan hub, commander Pro... If I had to complain about that case, it would be that the corsair RGB fans provided just add way too many cables. Cable management is already enough of a chose as it is without adding even more cables.

That empty space you speak of can be great for a push pull configuration on a 360 AIO water cooler. I did replace Corsairs included case fans in my build because they sadly do not work well with corsairs software. The Best fans are their HD series which seems to work best with corsairs software. This case looks like it can work for all air cooling or water cooling. Glass panels make this case fragile and its a stationary rig for me.

I think the decision to mount the HDD's with their tops to the inside was a smart move as most drives would probably come with a silver top. A small green PCB is a tiny price to pay as an eyesore compared to a large block of metal. Many if not all drives have a black bottom which fits nicely with the rest of the black case.

I feel like this case is big, but doesn't have a lot of functional space. There's the space to the right of the mobo which goes virtually unused unless your running a custom radiator loop or a Devil's Canyon dual core r9 390, but then they decide to stuff the HDDs in the back of the case instead of having any sort of HDD mounts or CD Drives. Also, the cables look like they're barely able to fit thru the case, but there's only one GPU; in a multi-gpu setup (which is the only reason I would run a form factor bigger than micro atx) there would be even more cables. Maybe this case is a modder's dream, but I feel like i've seen micro-atx cases with more space. Also is tempered glass really needed on both sides? if you wanna show of SSDs just throw them in front of the power supply shroud, other than that idk why people want to show off cables and the back of some ugly HDDs.

I'm getting tired of the tempered glass on every panel thing. The side panel windows out of tempered glass were nice. But I don't like the way they do that. Just rebuilt my home system with this case; finally abandoned my Obsidian 800. Asus Strix X99, H100i cooler. Roomy in back but very tight along the sides; really should have been an inch taller to provide some clearance for a top mounted radiator/fan combination. Also needed another half inch on the right side to provide some depth for the cables/cable management. The glass really can't tolerate any cables that might press against it. I'd say A+ for concept, B- for execution.

Hold on a second. Not only do you want custom cables and complain about non customizable ones, but you also want to see as little of said cabling as possible?
@MatthewBlackwell10158 жыл бұрын
So it makes sense to mount the HDDs in a way that you can more easily get to the connectors, but I agree that looking at that green PCB isn't fun. However, this makes a great marketing opportunity. HDD's already have mounting holes on the bottom. Just need a nice thin piece of stainless steel with a fancy logo on it (or better yet, design your own either through a service or get a plain sheet and throw some vinyl graphic stickers on there) with screw holes. That would cover the ugly side of the HDDs, but still let you show off the fact that there are HDDs there and give access to the cables. The only downside might be airflow and cooling, but I'm not familiar if this would have an effect or not, but I imagine it wouldn't be a major issue since HDDs in laptops already have very small tolerances between the flat faces and the skin of the laptop.

I really don't get the point of these tempered glass cases. Yeah it's cool looking but it really brings some negatives to an overall build. Namn L What should they use? Albeit, I learned all glasses nowadays have plastic lenses, so they could use that material. That would be good, because production of lens-quality plastic would increase, and thus (hopefully) lowering the price of it.

I have been looking at a new pc case now to show off the rgb in my build. I saw the corsair 460 rgb and thought that would look great, just before buying I saw the recommendation for the 570x and was impressed by the look, the price was a bit insane but I thought it seemed worth it considering I am buying custom water cooling and free space next to the motherboard would definitely show it off well. I am excited to see how the case will look when it arrives, this video definitely helped my decision :)

Form over function IMO, the RGB fans are too gamery and silly looking to me.

I too hate the SP120 RGB fans.

Fantastic case. Been using one for quite some time. I agree with the tiny issues raised in the video but none of them are serious enough to be concerned about. I unplugged the light for the Corsair logo on the power supply cover so I don't care that it doesn't sync with the lighting. I don't want a bunch of brand logos visible everywhere anyway. I also blocked off the light for the front lower Corsair logo. Power button isn't generally visible to me anyway so I don't care what color that is. The only real legit issues are the RGB controller only working with SP fans and the cable management cover on back. That cover is really difficult to use properly. It's just barely wide enough. The SP controller had to be replaced with a newer one that can use the other RGB fans from Corsair. Regardless, this is a phenomenal case and the airflow is good. You can also get different color screws and fan filters for this.

looks good from a few angles. but from the back I think they messed a few things up with the hard drive mount on the left, and the cable management.

As seen in some other review. Air gaps all along the edges of the glass panels. Hello dust. Also, the bottom part of the side glass panel has this weird off-angle between the clear and opaque parts.

Got a 570X last week and swapped my system into it out from an old Thermaltake Level 10GT Snow Edition, and HOOOOOOOOOOOLY shit I'm in love. This case is absolutely eye candy. Obviously it's down to personal preference, but I'm just so glad to be rid of that old, bulky thermaltake.

"The sheer girth of the cables that need to ram up into it's passage, in order to plunge through the rubber grommets..." What am I watching here!?!??? Haha

I just wonder how those transparent glass panels will look after few days in someone's bedroom. I have a feeling that the glass, especially near all those fans will be covered with layer of dust. The case looks very attractive, but I think it will work only in some really dustproof office with no carpets, curtains, beds and other stuff. I wish I had a separate room for my setup, so I can at least eliminate dust sources and use a case like that )

A modders hack for the HDD I've seen with another case in the past is to lazor cut a plate that screws to the 4 lower mount holes of the drive, thus displaying 150x100mm logo of your choice instead of a green PCB.

They missed d a huge opportunity here. HERE IS HOW TO MAKE THIS CASE NEXT LEVEL CORSAIR. 1. Rgb lights in the power button and logo 2. Internal rgb light strip header to add more lights 3. Most Importantly ADD CUE SUPPORT. The ability to sync up, mouse, keyboard, and pc lighting all from one software app at once is something we don't have yet and corsair had all the pieces here to do it.

PERSONALLY, I'm still all about the Enthoo Evolv. I'm planning to build a PC with the non TG version myself. However, this case looks great, and options are always good.
