Both are stable and allow you to get shit done, so pick one, stop distro hoping and get shit done!

I just have tried Mint on Demo mode before installation and it seems okay, but something is kinda weird. I think it doesn't look modern

One important difference not mentioned in this video: Software installation. With Mint, you get the choice of System Package or [containerized] Flatpak. With Ubuntu, you can only install as containerized with Snap Packages.

False. I use Ubuntu and install my favorite apps with one command in a text file that is made executable.

love Ubuntu the first release got me into Linux and i cant get out of it! Although it's end support ended i switched to Lubuntu and i am loving it! If i had a choice between mint or ubuntu i wouldn't care which one they both work and that's all that ever mattered to me let me tell you something windows will never be the top of my list EVER!

Zorin OS is far prettier than either Ubuntu (Looks alien) or Linux Mint (Windows XP). It is also super stable & elegant.
@theseal668125 күн бұрын
I agree that it looks good, but the latest version of zorin os (17) is based on Ubuntu 22.04 lts which is older than mint or Ubuntu which both are on Ubuntu 24.04. The older Ubuntu version means that packages through the repos will be mucn older compared to the ones on mint or Ubuntu, however this problem can be mitigated using flatpak for gui applications. And the older Ubuntu version of zorin makes it so that you can't have the best drivers for very recent gpus, or other types of new hardware.

about both using deb packages, false. ubuntu pushes their proprietary format snaps. way slower and bigger than deb packages.

Lie-nux? I think we had ironed out the right way to pronounce this decades ago. Are you a newbie or an AI?
