I really like those videos where you teach something rather than just a distro review :)

Hi Ermanno! Thanks for your great tutorials! I know you are a musician, like me. I wonder if you are going to do a video about Ardour and, in general, on linux based DAWs and how to make everything work, basically :-)

excellent video, thanks for sharing, do you recommend archlinux as a server? otherwise what is your recommendation?
@eflinux3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! You can use Arch, but it's very high maintenance... I'd recommend Debian, Ubuntu or CentOS if you're looking for less maintenance and great stability.

Cool video! Now, when we have "a cloud server" and we knew how to securely connect to it - now teach us how we can organize some auto backup's or site maintenance for example. I'm sure you will find some interesting topic considering your experience. :)

Definitely! There is a lot to explore there!

My problem, I need to transfer files from a laptop with Windows to a dekstop with Linux and vice versa. I wish that I could put Linux on my laptop but I can't because of a small SSD and some technical issues. I wish that Windows would have SSH out of the box without having to use WSL.
@eflinux3 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter, you can do that with a small utility for Windows called putty.

@@eflinux with newer windows builds from 1903 and up. SSH is built-in natively to the cmd prompt. Also windows terminal works great as well.

Yesterday I wrote a comment on your Video. I would like to add new informations: - I wanted to peform a SFTP from a Raspberry to a Synology NAS. (to execute a daily file transfer scheduled by crontab) - I Apply your very good description - only some comments in my case: - on NAS, the user must have Admin privilege until the ssh-copy-id is done. After that, you can remove the privilege - if the ssh-add command return an error (Could not open a connection to your authentication agent ), you must submit the ssh agent by command exec ssh-agent bash as described in this link --> www(.)journaldunet(.)fr/web-tech/developpement/1202673-could-not-open-a-connection-to-your-authentication-agent-comment-resoudre-cette-erreur-en-ssh/ And one more time, thank you
