Lion family feast 🥩

Ok so pleasantries & warnings out of the way.. todays video features Aslans pride & Codas pride getting fed at our lion sanctuary.
All our lion food is donated from the local farms whose cattle has ALREADY died & the carcass needs removing. We collect the carcass & bring back to GG to feed to the lion prides in our care.
Feeding dynamics are slightly different for each pride. Aslan for example dominates the carcass & the girls Suzie & Fonda wait for permission to tuck in. Whereas Codas pride, the lionesses take over and get stuck in first.. Coda is more laid back ( or maybe because it’s 4 lionesses to 1 male 😂)
FAQ-
1. No we are are not allowed by law to give the lions LIVE animals as we are a sanctuary & not the wild.
2. The lions are fed twice a week replicating general wild lion behaviour.
3. We feed whole carcasses when possible so the lions can eat whatever parts they instinctively need.
