Same here. Weird, huh? I think every member of the cat family does the same thing before they hurl…they make that retching sound right before they let loose. Our house cats do the same thing. I consider it an ‘audible warning’ that gives us time to get up and move them over to a non-carpeted surface, which makes for easier cleanup.

I believe it is quite natural for cats, big or small. They wanted to get rid of their own hairs that may hv got into their belly. These hairs comes from the natural habit of licking themselves amongst the cat family.
