Well, in itself a good Story but very comparable to Children's Television where it always looks dramatic but in the end everything is good or it ends with a stalemate Situation. In addition, GW can change it at any time (and has done so, see Custodes). That's why you can watch/listen it, but it's better not to interpret too much into it

I doubt Vashtorr will actually become the 5th chaos god. He has a TT mini and he is a great antagonist that can be used by GW for years to come. That all disappears if he transcends unless they decide to actually bring in gods to the fray and not just their champions. I also dont think the other 4 would just let him do it. They are more likely to band together and kill him off or enslave him despite the costs rather than just let him do as he pleases. He is more likely to get close but ultimately defeated and perhaps even weakened and the story arc will be used to introduce new/other factions to the lore and the TT like Dark Mechanicum or Perturabo.
