It's because Tunecore and Distrokid have been around long enough to have high-profile cases of screwing over their artists, including taking down music from paid-up "leave a legacy" users. Give it another year or 2 and I'm sure Landr will get bought out and become just as corrupt as Tunecore and Distrokid.

Great episode.. it reinspired to check my CDBaby account, which they now call a 'Legacy Account'. - The lack of a human with phone support really kills it, it's tough trying to be inspired anymore.

I've been emailing CDBaby for almost two months now trying to straighten out my "Legacy Account!" it's insane how many emails it took to get a clear, concise solution to the issue. @elaineluciaАй бұрын
@@BoominGame customer service should be equal opportunity....regardless of the revenue amount of your account. That being said, I recently tried out LANDR, based on many KZbin videos like this one, and much comparison and research. LANDR released my single with the wrong date (2017!) as another poster on this thread also describes. I have another pending issue that needs to be corrected. Note: there is only chat bot and email support. Auto response states: "We’re reviewing your request (xxxxx) and will get back to you as soon as we can. Depending on your request, it may take 1-7 business days for a response." It took four days for them to fix the metadata on my single release, which was pretty upsetting. I'm just stating my experience with LANDR so far. I hope it is an anomaly but I am nervous now about releasing more singles and my album with LANDR.

You are a great point of reference for music distribution and studio works when needed. But what interest me the most is a real life example of payments of Royalties to the artists. Can you give examples of your experiences of collecting monies from your muscial works via LANDr's as an example? Some of the points to cover are; How often are sales statements issued?, When sales are made, when do an artist receive their royalty check(s)? If an artist is registered with PRO ( publishing co.-BMI or ASCAP) is that area covered also?, What if I created the music and possible lyrics with an Ai platform but can monetize the works due to the platforms Terms of Service Agreement, are there any legal restrictions of roadblock hindering monetizing the ownership of those works? I know it's alot of questions but these are very important one to consider using LANDr distribution or any other distributors. Please respond. I'd appreciate it ! swkiii

And one thing you should know, its actualy FUGA do all the distribution, not the LANDR directly and like I see now thats may be a real problem cause if FUGA don't do something for any reason, so LANDR can't do nothing. I'm so disappointed because of this just at start of cooperation with LANDR 😤

I'm having very similar problems with LANDR Pro Distribution support, after moving away from CDBaby. My one release still not on KZbin after multiple emails. I did not know that FUGA does the distribution for LANDR...FUGA is owned by Downtown Music Holdings, which owns CDBaby!!...so really, seems more and more like there is only ONE giant corporation doing music distribution so it seems it basically doesn't matter which 'platform' you use....they all use the same backend and it's just a matter of Luck whether you have a good experience or not with them. Maybe will go back to CDBaby, at least they never messed up my releases.
