Hello again Lionel - thanks for another little concert from your trusty Tyros 1. Interesting that you once played accordion. I never did but one of my Organ friends I speak with is a keen accordion hobbyist. He’s owned various Italian makes and speaks highly of Scandelli. More recently he’s had a Roland electronic model with MIDI capabilities. So a voice and rhythm expander can be added. Sorry about your leg infection - hope the antibiotics will soon improve things. Best wishes for now

I switched from accordian to organ as I was standing up doing 4 hour gigs for years, and I was getting exhausted as I got older. My drummer suggested an organ. So I went out and purched a Vox Continetal with pedal board. I played my first gig with it 4 weeks later and never played accordion again. My last two Yamaha organs I gave to a recording studio. Both are still in use.

@@lionel177 I hear from quite a few former accordion players who, like yourself, have been forced to give up the instrument because of ‘Father Time’ The Vox Continental became quite a classic instrument. Actually, I’m sure I’ve seen a couple for sale on EBay quite recently. We worked our way through quite an array of Home Organs after their increase in popularity during the 1960’s. The then Manager of Boosey and Hawkes had the vision to bring some of the American easy learning systems into the U.K. together with the Hammond Organs. We owned a Hammond but switched to a Lowrey which had a built in Leslie speaker. We moved on again to Yamaha models of the day, also Farfisa, Technics and our current small Roland. It’s strange how many of the older Organs still survive today. The modern single keyboards don’t seem to have the same longevity. People tell me it’s leaking capacitors that cause most of the breakdown problems. Of course, there are many of them on printed circuit boards which become contaminated by this leakage. Interesting to hear that a couple of your Yamahas still survive - perhaps the older Organs employ different electronics. We had the very popular EL 90 which a a good instrument but the Organ sounds had been a bit neglected in favour of the more orchestral approach. We have owned three different Tyros models and currently have the Tyros 5 - very clever things but hearing your Tyros 1 I’m not sure the later models have the same ‘warmth’ overall although Tyros 2 was good. Best wishes for now

Thank you. Yes it's the very first Tyros. I've made my own backing sounds over time. Takes a bit of skill and a lot of time. I use the channel mixing change volumes, etc. I like to use broken chords a lot as a former organist using a more prominent piano in the left hand. Only using a mobile in selfie mode. Would love a proper video camera. Thank you again.

very nice thanks for taking the time to perform , incidental how do you get round the youtube song recognition thingy , does it not stop you from putting out content ?

So far, they tell me it's copyright, but the owner allows it. Not been stopped so far. Thanks for listening.

Nice Playing Lionel but turn that video around so the high notes are on your right side not on the left. LOL Just busting you. Great playing.

Thank you. I wish I didn't have to use a mobile in selfie mode. I'd love to get a proper video camera but not sure which would be best and affordable.
