Hi everyone! Thank you to @drummartijn for noticing that my tabs for Section 6 include one wrong note. In the first box of that section, I tabbed the last octave as 7 on D and 11 on B. The 11 on B should actually be 10 on B. My apologies for missing that, and thanks again to drummartijn for calling it out! 👍

Awesome lesson. When I was a kid I asked my Berklee graduate guitar teacher to teach me this back in the early 80`s just after this song came out. I still remember how to play it. 😁 Of course, you nailed another lesson perfectly. 👏👍

Hey John, thanks very much bro. I had not heard this solo in so many years when I decided to learn it recently. I totally forgot how cool it was :)

This a a great Yacht Rock solo. Another favorite from Lionel is the solo to Dancing On The Ceiling. The solo & bridge are the highlights of that song.

Thank you so much for thinking about the advanced players. I have been playing for 45 years (I'm 62). Some (most) of the lessons on KZbin are, "put your first finger on the 2nd string, 3rd fret, put your 3rd finger...." Drives me up the wall!!! Run it thru on slo-mo (like you did) and I'll usually pick it up in 5 minutes. Thanks again. Oh, one of these days I want to learn "I Want You Back"... another amazing guitar piece by Louie.

Hi there, I am so happy that I found on the internet. You are a brilliant teacher. I am 70,years old and I am having problems playing riffs etc fast, any advice please. Also is there any way that you could do a tutorial on a song called Smootching by Mark Knopfler. Thanks a lot and take care. Greg.

Cheers, this is brilliant and a great help. I was watching Louie Shelton play this last weekend and my misses said “ can you play that ?”. My response was NO. But because of this video I have got the first half nailed. Just the octave bit to learn now. 🇬🇧👍

learning stuff like this is how u up ur game from the usal heavy rock jams. he may have made it up but he olayed it the same and new it cold. the phrasing like this has to be more planned for pop songs. i think of touch of grey. a great solo JG butchered live all the time even though that song is more popish then jam rock

Wow. This choice is eyebrow raising. I like it. I think(?) this channel also did the solo of Donna summer hot stuff which is an awesome solo.
