I use to go to bed every night with a Lionel cataloge under the covers. Now at 77 I still want that Super Chief set plus some of the new items that I can relate to my business history: WB water tower, Disney and WB theatres,SF Budd car set and Amtrak Acela set. Soon as I get my tax refund I will place my order! All aboard!

Something that I feel like should be pointed out is that the Frisco decapod in the catalog is numbered 1630 That is important because the real Frisco 1630 still survives and is commonly in operation at the Illinois railway museum pulling their passenger trains

A nice review and I appreciate your candor regarding some of the prices. A couple clarifications, the bell on the Frisco Decapod is at the very front of the engine’s smoke box, that’s why it doesn’t have a swinging bell. Remotes are no longer included with LionChief Plus engines. O contraire, the 3 inch FasTrack section is “All New” 😂 😂.

The USA locomotive looks more like a Baldwin model, witch is more like the ones in Pennsylvania. I wish they made a -2-8-2 wheel model like the Baldwin model from Philadelphia. The Baldwin model has the headlight at the top of the boiler.

This new catalog shows how much Lionel has grown and how history has repeated itself, this time the big boy model is the Hudson of 1937, top of the line and out of reach for so many people just like the Hudson was in 1937.

No no. You're completely wrong. The low class is always fooled by themselves. You're the buyer. Your life is different to manufacturers and retail. You must start to take control of your life. They're going to try to distract you from your life. You don't have to buy second quality product. You don't have to buy 1 of each of the mass produce items. Realize Its YOU that's wasting YOUR life. Many people are raving lunatics just wasting your life. Don't look at things from the bottom up. Get to the top and look down on stuff. You will end up with a collection. What does this future collection look like? The scams work year after year. Realize you're not buying enough quantity of trains. You must buy 3 of that 1 expensive train set. Your life just got very expensive. You must buy 1 to use and 1 more as a spare item and 1 more for random situations. If you want to sell 1 in the future you must buy 4 or 5. If 1 set costs $1,000, you're going to spend at least $3,000, just to have a great life with your train. If you want to make back some of the money you've spent, you'll have to buy 5 or 6 trains. Which will cost you $6,000. If you want your hobbies to pay for themselves, you've got to buy 6 of each train.

Well this is from the perspective of the unwise looking up at the higher-up products. You've got the wrong perspective. You don't buy in enough quantity to support yourself. You don't buy in enough quantity to support the factory. Factory production isn't the highest product. Go speak to a professional model train builder and realize factory production is always CHEAP and a comprise from what you actually want. Factories produce a lower ranked product in big quantity. Its NEVER cool to be buying a reduced quality product. Factories produce ultimately a varied set of trains for you which you acquire over a few years. The varied set that you end up with is inferior to a professional model set but its got a greater range. When you go to buy the factory doesn't have the product. Factory production is terrible for you the buyer. Factory production and your life don't match. You bought a catalogue and they failed to have anything for you to buy. Your last in line to buy. Retail has already beaten you and they've bought up all the factory production. You're Waiting around for the smart buyers to sell to you. You're not even preparing to buy. You're just being a lunatic. Make A DECISION in life. Your job is to eliminate waste. 1 of each isn't a collection. 1 of each IS consumption. You're an unwise crazy consumer raving like a lunatic. Make A choice. Buy in enough quantity. actually buy the professional set and don't go backwards in life and don't get distracted buy the lunacy or business conmen. You don't think like a retailler or a factory. You don't live their life. You're a buyer and you live separately to them.
