Hey Ian! Yeah she's certainly a sexy LITTLE bird! I have to think about $ and where I can fly and the 64mm edfs fit the bill. I am likely to get a 70 or 80mm edf in the next 12 months, but she's have to get off grass easily and not land too hot. I was considering the Me 262 which is a twin 70mm, an Avanti, possibly even an 80mm f86 or a Fresco Mig (That I would need to repaint in silver and red). This video seems to have had the best stats so far. Decent number of ppl watching more of the video than usual. I hope you enjoyed the content. Take care!

To be honest Nick I think Freewing are a bit overpriced!! I would be inclined myself to go for Fms as they are much better value!! But I suppose you got to follow your heart and not your head Lol👍😄

@@IansRCExploits Yah, fair call! My SuperEZ is an FMS plane and I am not totally happy with the quality. The Lippisch is Freewing and while the paint on foamies is notorious for coming off, I'm partial to Freewing as they actually produced something so small, fast, cheap and FUN! Totally get your point, though!

Did you put a 4S motor in there or are you running the 4S on the 3S motor?

The motor was part of the stock system. At the time of this video, I was running both 3s and 4s batteries in the Lippisch. I had read on Hobbysquawk forums that a guy was running his Thunderchief on 4s with stock setup (all the Freewing 64mm series, P.15, F86, F105 etc) all have the same esc and edf units so I thought it would be fine. It was for less than 10 flights on the 4s battery before the EDF unit exploded mid-flight. Funnily enough, the esc didn't burn out, nor did the motor. There was just a failure in the fan blades. Apparently, they couldn't handle the rpms! If you have any more questions, fire away :) Cheers, Nick
